I have a question about the PSU game....

Father Jenkins gave a prayer to commemorate the losses of 9/11.......

Did anyone else noticed that there was a lot of noise going on during it? A lot of it was screaming..and then some sort of sounded like booing?

Am I the only one that heard this? And could anyone who went to the game clarify what happened?

no, no you are right.... a lot of noise coming mostly from the student section.. and also a lot of shhh's to try and get em in line..

Really? Wow, that's weird, that's the last place I would have expected it to come from. I figured it had come from PSU fans.

It sounded like players in the tunnel doing normal pregame yelling. Maybe they were in the locker room when the announcement was made and were just doing their thing

Why would it be Penn State fans making the noise?

I met a man who is an usher at ND Stadium and has been for the last ten years. He said regardless of the fact that it is Notre Dame, his worst year of the ten was when he was in the student section. He basically said that college kids are college kids regardless of how smart they are and he hopes he never ends up in the student section again.

I'm sure it is tough to grasp, but there have been some really stupid college Animal House-like events that have taken place at ND games according to this ten year usher gentleman. I doubt any fires were set or anything, but moronic behavior is apparently alive and well in South Bend just like all the other college towns.

Hopefully that wasn't the case during Fr. Jenkins' prayer, but it isn't too far fetched.
