Received this in my Instant Irish update today. Big change For defensive coordinator Rick Minter as he heads upstairs to the box, and D backs coach Bill Lewis comes down to the field. Hopeful this will help with needed adjustments on defense during play.

Eye In The Sky
It may not seem like a major adjustment this weekend. But for the parties involved, it will certainly be a different perspective on game day.
For the first time in more than two decades, Notre Dame defensive coordinator Rick Minter will leave the sidelines and call the game from the coaches' box upstairs. Defensive backs coach Bill Lewis will come downstairs and work with the secondary from the sidelines.
It's a move Weis suggested early in fall camp to help Minter see the field better and to help Lewis communicate better with his maligned secondary.
"I felt that some of our biggest problems last year were communication problems in the secondary," Weis said Wednesday after practice. "And I felt the easiest way to take care of that problem would be to have the DB coach down there on the sideline."
Weis said this was not a mandate but rather a suggestion. The coaches experimented with the switch during scrimmages at the stadium throughout camp.
"Because if (Minter) didn't feel comfortable doing it, then I wouldn't make the switch," Weis said. "I obviously want Rick comfortable calling the game.
"I'm asking him. I'm not telling him."
Weis said it's the first time in 22 years Minter will work upstairs. Lewis said he is comfortable either way but he is more accustomed to working from the sidelines.
"It gives Rick an opportunity to kind of get away from all the hustle and bustle on the sideline, get up away, see the game from up on top," Lewis said.
Weis said he hopes the switch gives Minter a better feel, and view, of the game.
"As a play caller, you have a whole different perspective of the game up in the box," Weis said. "Because you have less distractions and you see the game a whole heckuva lot better."
