I did a pretty crazy thing today because I am grossed out by the ebay prices for tickets to the ND/PSU game. I scanned the tickets for sellers proclaiming to be Irish Fans who are selling $50 Dollar tickets for $1000 dollars a piece. I contacted the seller and asked why would you allow the chance for a PSU fan to sit in your season seat? I got 2 responses and both were statements of greed.

I have 2 tickets and would not sell them for anything!!!!!

In my opinion, If you sell your season seats for any home game - you are a complete sell out!

I agree, unless you had to sell them to witness the birth of your child or something but yeah If you sell your tickets you are a sell-out.

I agree, we made it clear that no one is to sell from our group!!!!! Here is an e-mail from my buddy to our group going to the ND/PSU game, note we all live in Pittsburgh and are taking only 1 PSU fan with us(unfortunately he married into the family).

Gentlemen-
The word from the source is that we have the 8 tickets we requested for the Notre Dame/Penn State game on September 9.* Much thanks to XXXXXXX for pulling this together.* It should be a great weekend and a super game.**

I'll follow up with some logistics planning for who will be riding up together and make sure that we have all our gear for camping.* We have 3 tent sites and one cabin for the weekend, so we should be in good shape.

The tickets will cost face value +$7.* The $7 will go towards getting the ticket source a sweatshirt or windshirt as a thank you.* That is a pretty damn good deal as this is the most requested game ticket in Notre Dame history and tickets are going for more than $1,000 on ebay.* Before you get any wild ideas, part of the deal with the ticket source is that we don't scalp any tickets.* XXXX and his friend XXXXX are using two tickets and we are using the remaining 6.* I'll write a check for all six and you guys can pay me.* I'll let you know the exact amount when I have the tickets in hand.* You'll also need to pay for your share of the tent site/cabin and we'll figure out beer and food for the tailgate up there.

I am looking forward to it.* After the ND victory, we get to watch the Ohio State/Texas game at the castle sports bar next to the KOA which starts at 8pm.* What a great weekend of college football.

GO IRISH!! BEAT PENN STATE!!! (sorry, XXXX)

What happened Nov. 9th?

It was basically a Nebraska Home Game.

I do know that the push is on for tickets in Happy Valley. I live 30 min form state college and the local papers are already commenting on the fact that getting a ticket is a slim chance. The most absurd bid on Ebay is a guy selling his reservation for - Now $300 - This is not even for the cost of the room which is additional. I do know that based on the price for tickets on line, Ebay, stubhub, ticmaster ect. that you are not getting the average PSU fan. I know our company legal rep bought two tickets for $2700 and will golf clap the whole game - just trying to find the positive - I am going to his tailgate - he is serving fine meats and cheeses from the 2005 motor home he purchased last year to take to PSU home games. So expect a snooty PSU crowd that can afford $1000 nose bleed seats.

i know how you feel, this past week i was searching for ND-navy tickets. after 2 days of being frustrated and finally i was about to buy 3. i called Ravens stadium to make sure i was gonna sit on the ND side, since its a nuetral site. and after telling him how much i was gonna pay for them, he laughed and said thats a disgusting price. luckily he gave me a phone number of an ND alum that bought 2000 tickets. they should be here monday 30-yard line 10 rows up, $450 for tickets and post-game party (free food and liquer). ill be drinking my full share.

GO IRISH!!!

yeah it was the second game of the year, most had forgotten that we played texas a&m the week before.nebraska was favored by quite a bit,if i remember.
julius jones ran a punt and a kick off back. The game went into overtime and it looked like we gave up on the last drive and just settled for a GOOD GAME.

didn't arnez battle get hurt in that game and was out for the rest of the year?
arm or shoulder?

anyway...it was a sea of RED in the stands that day.
It really looked like a nebraska home game.I know a few people that regret selling their tickets to this day just because of julius jones.

Here is another pathetic seller - paulsonatours.com. check out what this site/ebay seller is listing as rooms for the psu game. I put a bid (for sh!ts and giggles) on a room for 2 nights at the country inn and suits for $300 on ebay. The buy it now price was for $799. paulsontours sent me an email with the statement "$300 would not even buy you 1 night". I find that interesting, because I stayed at the Marriot in Times Square two weeks ago for $285 a night. I did not know that South Bend was more expensive than Manhatten. He also in the deal was offering the mother of all tailgates. Ham BBQ, a 42 inch television, and lite beer - all for $80.

What a F - ing joke!!!!!!!!!

Two PSU fans I know bought tickets to this Tailgate. They also bought two $59 Tickets for $850 a piece. They are co-workers so I wished them luck on the seats, but I would not join them for the tailgate.

My brother and I are looking to go to a good tailgate and willing to bring 2 cases of beer (prob guinness or sam adams) and contribute to the food fund $25 a piece if any ND fan is having one. Let me know. Want to have a great time at the PSU game, but not for the price paulsontours.com is selling.
