I don't no if anybody has discussed this yet, but USC rb/kr Desmond Reed blames the grass height @ ND on his knee injury last year.

• More fuel to the ND-USC rivalry: Injured Trojan KR-RB Desmond Reed is blaming his major knee injury/nerve damage on the ridiculously high grass at Notre Dame Stadium. "I believe it was the grass," Reed tells Gary Klein. "Guys were complaining like, 'Wow, I can't believe the grass is so tall,' " Reed said. "You never really think anything is going to happen. But something did, and I paid the price for it."

It didn't seem to slow down or injure Bush, Zibby, Shark, etc. Good players overcome the environment.

LenDale "Thank You Mom, Can I Have Another Slice of Pie" White said something similar last year. Condom Nation must be up in arms about how tight that game was if they're still complaining.

I don't think Reggie Bush complained the grass was too long...at least it didn't seem to slow him down or alter his game, excuses are for losers!

He really tore it up...

Those who complain are babies.

What slows them down, slows us down too.

You know, they won the game.

But they're still PLENTY scared of what happened that day.

Goodbye 31 point blowouts, hello 60 minutes of All Day Tough.

I think they thought they were going to waltz on in and destroy ND that day like they had before.

Instead, they got the battle of their lives. To me, in their three year run, that game was the toughest they played prior to Texas. Easily, in fact.

In some ways, it was the hardest. After the National Champ game they were not nearly as tired as after our game.

Which seems odd...but that was my impression. I have never seen the Trojans so tired as they were until that evening...

I'll bet they're all real proud of his little scuffle in practice yesterday.

Spitting in someone's face? Brilliant.

Things just keep getting better for USC Football. They can't go a week without someone connected to that program from making an asshat of himself.
