Oklahoma and West Virginia in title game??

I believe the only reason Oklahoma and or W. Virginia have a shot at playing the Irish in the title game is because of their weak schedules. Having said that, I'd much rather play Ohio St.. Bring on the Jackets!! Go Irish!!

Louisville has a strong chance also because of their weak schedule........West Virginia, that would be nostalgic. It would be great to have another crack at the Buckeyes though......no pun intended.

You are right, both have a solid shot at the Title game based on schedule alone... Which would be lame.

However, it would be interesting to see what happens if there are 4-5 unbeatens...which could conceivably happen.

I seem to recall people making a similar prediction last summer too. Look how that turned out.

Weak schedule or not, going undefeated for the entire regular season is TOUGH. Even a weak schedule always has one or two tough games on there somewhere, and many a team has gotten to feeling invincible somewhere in the neighborhood of 9-0 only to have Middle Podunk State Technical College come out of nowhere and knock them down.

Don't bet on more than 2 unbeatens. In fact, the safe money is usually on just 1.

Louisville and WVU play each other, so one will cancel the other out if both are unbeaten.

WVU won't sneak up on anyone this year. They will not win their league.

As for OU, if Stoops is smart he'll stamp US Mail on Peterson's ass and send him into the end zone more often than not. If that kid stays healthy, they can ride him into a nice season. Alas, I don't think they'll make it either.

It is very tough this year. Lots of teams that have lots of questions. Anything can happen.
