I have given to the alumni lottery for the last time. Seriously, I bet everyone that donated a thousand dollars "won" tickets to either the PSU or Michigan game.

I don't know why they call it a lottery. In a lottery you are supposed to have the same chance as anybody else. But not in an ND lottery. They must make up separate pots depending on the amount you donate. Am I just ranting for no reason, or do others get the impression that the lottery is set up for the biggest contributors to get tickets, and for those with smaller contributions to get tickets only if there are any leftovers.

Well, as a contributing alumnus I thought my odds were pretty good. Guess not. I don't think we were guaranteed tix, just that we could order as many as four.

I think we were guranteed 4 because of alumni/parents of a current Domer.

Well we just got the results in and we also got shut out to all the games first time he has ever, so you guys aren't alone....but since my dad is a domer/parent of a current domer we got 4 tickets to the Stanford game and 4 tickets to the Army game. We are also looking into tickets to the UCLA game so hopefully those come through.

Ouch, how much did you donate Punishment?

I just donated the minimum. I can't remember if it was $100 or $150. But myself, and a all my friends out here in Cali who are alums got shut out. We all donated the minimum. I just figure, what are the odds that not a single one of us would get tickets.

I know the demand for tickets was high. But 3 of my friends and I usually put in 4 ticket requests for one of the "easier" games, and last year, just like this year, all four of us were shut out.

I hope the local alumni clubs have some tickets. I don't like flying out to SB without a ticket in hand, even though you can probably get tickets from a scalper.

I did not put in for tickets this year...I could not convince the wife to travel 2000 miles back to SB with 2 kids (3 year old and 5 month old) for a FB game.

However, demand is going WAY up...they really need to consider revamping the system a bit.

We ended up getting two tickets to the UCLA game, so we ended up getting 3 games this year.
