Columnist, predictors, prognosticators and soothsayers are generally wrong.

Here's hoping that this blind squirrel has found a nut

"In December, Brady Quinn will win the Heisman and replace George Washington on the dollar bill. In January, the Irish will win the national title and Chas Weis will become the highest-paid man in America. And then, the world will end."

"But back to the positives: The schedule should perk you up. It is, in a word, "laughable." That's right. This is a one-game schedule -- at USC. That gives ND 11 "preseason" games to prep for its showdown in Los Angeles vs. USC."

This guys been sniffin' his own shoes too long.

Yeah, its not quite laughable to say the least...but then last year we thought we were going to have a tough schedule and it was really easy except for USC and OSU.

DLuring the 'dog days of summer," when there's little to write about if you cover college football; its always a safe bet to write about Notre Dame. This never fails to bring out the lovers and haters (See feedback comments on this article). This is the same guy who wrote a negative story on Notre Dame's returning senior quarterback entitled "Prepare to choke on sappy Quinn stories" in February in which he questioned why Brady opted to return for his senior year. He went on to state that "Not only is Quinn leaving a lot of money on the table, but I don't think Notre Dame will win the national title, or that Quinn will win the Heisman. In fact, I have five reasons to believe Quinn's senior year won'tl be dreamy." He must have been "under the gun" by his editor to come up with a story because he only listed four reasons and indicated that he failed to research his information when two of his other "reasons" were that "The Irish haave to replace three offensive lineman" and "Who will be the yin to Jeff Samardzija's yang? Maurice Stovall? Gone. Anthony Fasano? Gone."
His other two "reasons?" He completely flip-flopped on them for this article! Apparently some so-called "journalists" care more about the reaction they get than what they actually write!
Is Tom Dienhart the blind squirrel or the nut???????

You know...I just don't care what he writes about or his contradictions. It's pretty clear from his writing that he is more of a comedic sports reporter. His analogies were hilarious. And there was plenty of satire to boot. I just hope this article does come true...It's been way too long...

Yeah, definitely plenty of satire. I would not call this a flip-flop...he's writing to write. It's kinda funny really.
