I'll start with three that came immediately to mind:

"...on the field as well as off the field/on and off the field"
"stud" <---I don't care who you are, no guy should ever call another guy a 'stud'.
"star" <--- it doesn't take much to be labeled a 'star athlete'.

"Academics at ND will not allow them to go after the elite athletes..."
"That kid A is better than kid b since his 40 is .05 faster..."
"We can't recruit in the south, so let's not even try..."
"My top 25 currently include (insert all 25 AP teams here)"
"Well A is buddies with B. so they are goign to the same school"

Here's one that thankfully doesn't get used on this board:

Big news is afoot

I hate when these sites use "the University of __________ has always been his dream school"

Not that I don't believe that people have dream schools, but just that it is overly used.

I'm not a big fan of "blue-chipper" either, once again, not that they don't exist, it just seems like everyone is a blue-chip recruit nowaday's.

"He is the next Reggie Bush" <--- I hate that one the most.

"What are the coaches thinking?"

"Why haven't they offered (name)?"

"Offer (name) now!)

I hate when people say when a "presser" is called for a player. Tough to think of a lamer word. Press conference isn't that tough to say, right? Those extra two syllables are worth not sounding like a complete tool in my opinion.

"(Substitute any SEC School) is great academically"
"I want to be a doctor, so I am choosing FSU"
"________ has narrowed his list to 10" - There's some F'ing news...I'm glad you got the first scoop on that one!

And, I definitely have to second the one above about "I can't believe ________ doesn't have an offer!"
