He is still eligable for the NFL draft. What he's gonna do is he's gonna see his stock in the NFL and depending on what he likes he'll choose then.

He would be crazy to go into baseball if he can get drafted high in the NFL. It would take him about 4 or 5 years if he is lucky to get to the Majors. But if he went to the NFL he would be there right away.

True...but baseball contract can be much larger and are guaranteed. football contract are not guaranteed.

They overpay the players they have now, so it makes total sense they'd throw top dollar at a fifth round pick. But good for Jeff. Take the money and run.
