Martez Wilson - What are our chances with this guy?

I havn't been following Wilson much and for those of you who are in the same boat, he is the athletic linebacker prospect out of Chicago that picked up an offer a short while ago. I just watched some video on Rivals and he impressed me. I think that if he can put on a little more size, he can really be an intimidating figure wherever he lines up.

So has anyone been following the guy's recruitment? Who are the main players and where do you think we stand with him? I know Michigan has offered.

There are large populations of many schools. ND is one of them.

Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Purdue....even Texas A&M. I know, weird.

Wilson will be Irish.

Absolutely. There is no question.

Smith is physically imposing at 6-3, 220. He hits very hard and doubles as fullback on offense. Good lead blocker, but he runs well with the ball too. Athletic, but a fierce hitter.

Wilson is just mean. He almost killed Demetrius Jones last year. Again, when Charlie Weis uses the Simeon Rice comparison you can't help but wonder what Tez Wilson will look like in 4 years.

Wilson told Rivals in an interview that his leader was Notre Dame and he didn't even have an offer. I think now that he has one, there is a strong chance he'll be Irish based on what he has said and is saying. Michigan, Illinois and Ohio State are all still players. He will join Robert Hughes at the OSU combine later this summer.

With Smith, I think he would be in quickly with an ND offer because of dad. I feel the same way with Pozderac based on things he's said.
