Good for him. Because you know if you need your MLBs to be running sub 4.5s to catch RBs or TEs that are behind the defence you should probably put some safeties or corners on the field.

Do they not have a laser timer? If they don't, a hand held 4.7 is probably still about 4.8+ on a laser. If schools all do hand held timers, almost everyone will report better times. I hope they use a laser timer for consistency.

Couple things here - 1) The NFL combine 40 results aren't 100% laser. 2) Because those times aren't 100% laser, I doubt there would be a huge difference in time ran. 3)If there would be a huge difference, Jarvis Jones is crazy slow!

I'm pretty sure that at the combine, once the player moves past the start (or the electric line), the timing automatically starts. Then it's obviously electric for when he crosses the electric finish line.
