Central quote of the presser

The central quote in Charlie's signing day presser was in relation to the quarterback question that arose late in Jan: "As a guy trying to set up a program, you have to be true to your word". This tells prospects the quality situation they enter when they join the Notre Dame Family. It announces the type player Charlie is looking for. It proclaims what is expected of coaches and of players... and it declares openly a true Return to Glory. It makes me proud to be a Notre Dame Fan !!

I have respect for Weis. He is a down to business salesman, which is what a good recruiter really is. And the honest, no nonsense approach is what will attract the good kids to your program.

The last thing I would ever want to see happen is for a recruits father to be weary of sending his son to South Bend the way Dexter Hazelton does not want to send his son to USC.

You don't need parental instinct to see what a con-job Pete Carroll is.

BINGO!!! You just know nearly any other coach would have jumped at the chance to have Mustain, especially when he's nearly begging and pleading to come. If CDub would have succumbed that would have been a dick move. Thankfully CDub is CDub and WE have him.

What is Urban Myth's wife's name/address again...I need to send her some flowers for Valentine's Day

This is the quote that stood out to me.

"I'm talking about perennially being at the top. It's easy for a team once in a while to have a good year. A lot of times they flounder afterwards. That's not what we're shooting for here."

He's the first guy since Holtz that understands that ND is supposed to win every year.
