Lemming really doesn't do us any favors.

Depends on who you talk to. Some say he's a positive influence and the reason TW did so poorly was because he distanced himself from Lemming. Weis has supposedly embraced Lemming and the publicity he brings to ND.

Michigan has lost to ND lately, but the world doesn't revolve around ND. ND has not had a winning record for two consective years since 1997-1998. Last five years, they are 34-26 while Michigan is 44-18.

McNeil is good, but Eugene is better. We don't hope for intangibles, we get the very best recievers. Shilling was good, but so is LB Graham (some say he's the #1 overall recruit this year), OL Boren, DT Slocum etc... Just wait until competant coordinators are brought in to coach these athletes. Until then, talk is cheap. We all heard the boundless hopes of the ND faithful after Davie and Willingham. It's same old same old until ND actually manages to have a winning record in two consecutive seasons. I know it's tough.
So VV, you raise a great point we all know too well about the lack of back to back years of success. No writing or justifying can change that. Only results on the field in 2006 will do that.

So I ask you the question since you brought up Davie and Willingham. Do you think that the Irish will put a losing season together this year under Weis? Seriously? Do you put Weis into the same class as D&W? Or are you one of the millions of UM fans who are looking at LLLLLLLLoyd Carr and worried saying "he and his staff don't measure up to today tops programs. Look at what Carroll did at SC and what Weis is doing at ND?" My honest guess is that you are one of the million UM fans who are scared sh&tless about the momentum that Weis has, the lack of direction at UM right now with LLLLLLLoyd and you are just getting your jabs in while you can (which I don't blame you for doing).

I see six 3-star recruits in ND's group that could easily have four and probably should.

Michigan doesn't scare me at all because they play hard when they feel like it. Iowa and Ohio State play hard every Saturday. Michigan kids think they can play hard when they feel like it. And THAT comes from the top. They need someone in there that can carve those candy ass talents back into stone.

I've got $20 that says ND is out of the top 10 by the end of the day.

They ended up 8th on Rivals, 5th on Scout.

A great class. Needs to be followed up with another top ten finish in one year.

USC's abundance of talent is very alarming. They are a force.
