An Interview With OSU's Donte Witner <MUST READ>

This is from 2003 when ND was recruiting Donte Whitner, Ohio State's standout safety. Keep in mind that though he received a 3.7 GPA, he also scored only a 17 on his ACT:

"Well, they have a great program," said All-Big Ten junior Donte Whitner from Cleveland. "One of the things that impressed me was that dome where there's gold on top of that. What's that called? ... And then when you walk down from the locker room into the stadium, they have that sign. I think it says, 'Play hard.' All that stuff it's real nice."

Actually, I take that back. The quote is from this year, not in 2003 when he was being recruited. It must have been in an interview where OSU players were supposed to pretend they respect ND so that it reflects on their own program.

That quote has to be a goof. Anyone that stupid would need someone by his side just to remind him to breathe.

Yeah that has to be a joke by the OSU guys. Like one prof. told me one time, you'd have to know all the answers to get a 0. In this case you can't possibly be that stupid, without trying to sound funny.

I remember in 1993 all of those idiots on Florida State talked mad $hit about Rock Knutne and ghosts of everything else.

I'd be very careful what you say. Karma has a way of screwing with you.

Tiocfaidh ar Lá means 'our day will come'. If you were to follow the trend of Irish-Catholic births in the north of Ireland, you'll come to the same conclusion.

And to answer your other question, Óglaigh na hÉireann = 'Irish volunteers'.

I know this is hard to believe, but you guys are going to have to accept this: it is possible to be that stupid.

I remember seeing the Florida State players and the Miami players come to South Bend and not even they were this stupid.

I taught at a state college for two years...I am surprised these kids' textbooks weren't popups. Teaching a Speech class, one of my students came up to me when it was her turn to give her speech and said the following:

I'm not comfortable getting up in front of people...Is the speech a big part of my grade?

My Response: It is a speech class.

Then she proceeded to sit down and not give her speech. After I so generously gave her a C-, because I was feeling nice that day, she then emails me complaining about the grade and wondering how she could recieve a grade like that.

YES! They can be THAT stupid.

I remember when TV would show the Miami Players they were all allegedly "business majors."

Then you heard them speak and you wondered how they even got out of elementary school.

Go Irish!!!!!

A friend sent it to me. I'm pretty sure it originated either with the South Bend Tribune or with one of the recruiting sites. I'll try and copy & paste some of the text into Google and see if I can find the original article later.
