Yeah, it looks like Urban's staff can recruit a little bit. He'll have to make adjustments to his offense, though. Either that or go recruit the next Michael Vick. There's too much speed in the SEC. Those defenses will eat the option for breakfast. I'm interested to see how he does with his recruits. You know...is he going to be one of those guys that gets the top recruits initially, but then loses them because his offense fails to maximize players abilities. Charlie won't have that problem.

Well, Urban did land Tim Tebow and I just saw a special on him and he's pretty dam good. I saw his game against Alabama's Hoover on TV and he was excellent, even though they lost. He can recruit and the talent in Florida is tremendous. But, I'll take Weis anyday of the week.

I haven't seen him. Can he run and run fast? If he's running the spread option- ala Alex Smith-, then he will need to be able to run. In order to pull off that particular offense in the SEC, Urban will need to make sure that his quarterback is somewhat of a burner. He doesn't have to be Michael Vick, but he at least has to have the speed to get past the fast DL's and LB's. I haven't seen Tebow, so I can't make that judgement. You're right though....Florida is always going to be talent-rich.

He's very mobile. A great athlete. He is perfect for this offense.
He even looks like Alex Smith:

Ok then.....cool. I just hope he doesn't ruin Chris Leak's senior season like he's ruined his junior year. As a college quarterback, anytime your numbers decline drastically that's not good. The negative impact of that is magnified especially when you are a junior or senior. Chris needs a good year next year or I'm sure fans will want to see Tebow out there. I root for Chris, because I live about 10 minutes from his former high school and I watched him set records as a high school quarterback. The guy is good. He's better than what I saw this year.

Urban is rewriting some of the playbook for next year so that it is more friendly for Leak's final year.

If Leak were smart, he'd go pro. That systerm is killing him.

It really is. He looked horrible at times this year. He doesn't deserve that. He's a great drop-back quarterback who throws a beautiful spiral. He shouldn't be running any kind of option attack. I hope Urban rewrites the blocking schemes of the offensive lineman. Chris was getting killed early in the season.

Amen to this brother! Now SC is having trouble keeping up with us in recruting. Carroll will jump to the NFL in the next 12 months. Write that down.
How good is this team going to be in 2007........WOW.

Carroll has a chance to become a Legacy in College football with the likes of John MacKay and above John Robinson. Or he can go back to the NFL and have his rah rah stuff thrown in his face for the third time.

Legacy or another NFL Steve Spurrier?? Legacy or getting canned again.

He is going nowhere.....BTW, he is still going to have a Top5 class.

“I liked UCLA from the beginning,” Reuland said, “and USC definitely made a late push, but in the end I had to go with what I felt was the best place for me, and I couldn’t get over the fact that it was probably Notre Dame.”

Trojans coach Pete Carroll and his staff badgered Reuland to the bitter end, but the Mission Viejo (Calif.) star said that the Notre Dame coaches, especially Charlie Weis and Brian Polian, did what they had to do to keep him in tow.

Kind of like this?

Didn't Poodle badger Aldridge as well? And I think I remember Walls' father telling Petey to beat it.

Anybody else love the smell of fear?

Yes he did.

And yes, Mr. Walls did grab the phone from Darrin after several minutes of ass licking from PC and the SC staff.

And yes, I do love it.
