My former ND classmate, Ted Leo, will return to his alma mater to play the Lafortune Student Center on the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. Ted's band has played Late Night with Conan O'Brien twice and his videos were featured on MTV2. Althouhg his music can be classified as "pop-punk," he draws from many varied musical styles like ska, soul and classic rock. In fact, he covers songs as diverse as Rush's "Spirit of Radio," Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark," and Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone."

The show is open to students only, but they may let you in if you beg or prove that you're in the Sorin Society. You can read the article from the Notre Dame student newspaper here and read the interview conducted by a Notre Dame student here..

Perhaps I'll get Ted to play at my tailgater in 2006...

Rocket,

Did you live in Stanford Hall? I did from 1989-1993, and I remember Ted lived there as well for at least part of that time.
