I think the main take away from this game is Notre Dame is a team that wins games. We are not like Oregon and Kansas State where we are going to "wow" everyone with our wins. We don't have the offense or big-play capability to blow people out. Kelly called this game like his only focus was making sure we ended the game with at least 1 more point scored than BC. I guess we, as fans, wanted a beating of BC, but this team just isn't built for that.

At 10-0, we just have to find ways to beat Wake Forest and USC and hope that either Oregon or Kansas State lose a game or that our Strength of Schedule speaks for itself (i.e. teams like Michigan, Stanford, Oklahoma, etc. keep winning to make our wins look even more impressive).

I'd still take a boring, uninspiring win over a flashy, thrilling loss which Weis teams always seemed to have.

My post game observation is that fumbles are bad. It appeared that Theo almost lost the ball again on the next series after his 2nd half fumble. Perhaps we should go with Cam and GAII against Wake.

I'm sorry, but a bit disappointed. BK should not have been so conservative when style points are needed. We should have throttled these guys buy at least 5 TDs. I'll take the win, but I hate sitting here watching such a painful game.

Agreed

uh, we won and are now 10-and-freakin 0...alabama lost (they would give a nut for out outcome tonight)...we move up to 3 and are still in the hunt for a national f$ckin championship...screw style points, just keep kissin that computer in the ear

Yes, we all know the team is 10-0. The current BCS system does however consider style points. I'm just now watching the full game replay, I only saw the 4th quarter live last night. The play calling felt way too conservative in the 4th. Coach should have put more air under the ball instead of taking air out of it. There is no good argument for this team being in the top 2 of the standings after each of the last 2 games. This felt like a disappointing win.

Much better than a disappointing LOSS.

And again ND won by double digits ON THE ROAD and people are saying that it is disappointing?

Sheesh.

The offense just lacked explosive plays last night.
They had to put together 10+ play drives to score.
The offense was still extremely efficient and really good overall.
They basically just ran the clock out on themselves.

I, for one, love the fact that we're moving towards a power football team and slowly moving away from the metro-sexual spread passing offense Kelly's used in the past.
Sprinkle in a couple big runs and this is a 30 point win.
