Ronald Tally...

I found this pretty interesting. I really like Tally and think he has great upside, he may turn into a star at defensive end.

Irish sophomore Ronald Talley made quite a splash in his first collegiate start. The defensive end had a sack among his seven tackles. And his game total of seven tackles is one more than the man he replaced, injured senior Chris Frome, had accumulated all season.

I thought that he did look good but his sack was the result of the quarterback running into him. Credit him that he kept his outside contained and that he shed his block... a good first performance for him.

I like Talley alot also. Justin Brown looks good too, very fast. We have some good young defensive ends on this team. With Ryan and Wade coming in we should be good at that spot for years to come.

Victor A has been a disappointment IMO. He's having a solid season, but I was expecting him to be a great one when we recruited him. He hasn't lived up to his 5 stars.....

My favorite tee shirts i saw in south bend during southern cal game was "Play Like Ronald Talley Today" - a play off of the Play Like a Champion Today done by his dormates.

Talley had four tackles against SC after Frome went down.

I like that he is getting reps from here on out. It will only help depth for the bowl game and 2006.

He seems to be OK against the run, but is real slow getting off the line to rush the QB in passing situations. He really needs to pick it up onnthe pass rush, as well as VA. A good pass rush would also take a lot of the pressure off the D backs.

He looks pretty good so far...by the time his senior season rolls around he could be quite special.

Victor A has been very quiet. I expected him to be an impact player. Distrupting things in the backfield etc
