This guy has done wonders at Indiana. I always liked him when he coached at Miami Ohio, even thought it was odd when he left there to take the Indiana job. Better conference but I wasn't so sure Indiana was an upgrade.

I think in the next few years you're gonna see Indiana take over purdue as the second best team in Indiana. IU crushed Kentucky and Illinois this year, two teams with the same talent level as IU, illinois probably has better talent then IU.

They also have a stud sophmore QB that is quietly putting together a big season. Big strong kid. He has 20 TD's and only 7 ints, he played great against illinois and kentucky, and played well against wisconsin and Iowa.

You're gonna hear alot about Terry Hoeppner in the upcoming years......

IU has done well recruiting in Illinois. They've snagged a couple of players that are pretty good and have gotten them to commit.

The Big Ten is really on the up swing. Purdue is stumbling and UM is having problems, but everyone else is picking it up.

Miami has an oddly strong coaching tradition. They also had a twenty-year period where the head coaches were Woody Hayes, Ara Parseghian, and Bo Schembechler. John Pont was in there too, but he never did much...perhaps ironically, he went to Indiana after Miami. So too with Bill Mallory.
