Every game is like an episode, and right when it ends I think, "I can't wait for next week!"
It seems like there is always more to learn about the team. My pre-game thoughts were as follows.
Navy: NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL SEASON PREMIER! How will we look? Is the D even better than last year? I can't wait to see Golson start!
Purdue: How will the secondary look? Were those Navy passes because we were committed to stopping the option?
Mich. St.: Can we hang with our first real test? The secondary seems to be fine, up to the front 7 to do what they do. Can we move the ball against the MSU Defense?
michigan: Can we finally get over the hump against this team? Can we stop Denard? How awesome will this night game atmosphere be?
Miami: Can the defense hold up against all of these "athletes"? Can Golson finally get going? Can the run game finally get going? Will Manti further improve his Heisman hopes? Man, these fans really tick me off. I hope we crush this team.
Stanford: GAMEDAY! We're #7! Can we impose our will in arguably our biggest test to date? This is starting to get really really fun!
Not only this, but watching the individual players (characters) develop has been amazing too. Keivare Russell, Everett Golson, Elijah Shumate, GAIII, and Manti Te'o are just a few of the players I look forward to evolving every week.
Greatness is evolving before our eyes, and I don't mind getting caught up in it all. I'm all about appreciating what you have while you have it, and so far this season has been more amazing than I could have ever dreamed.
Here's to hoping the series finale has a happy ending!
