Part of that has been their consistency in the 4th quarter to somehow keep the offense in 3rd and long situations...hopefully we can stop reggie bush on 3rd down, and i say reggie bush bcuz i do not like giving leinart a compliment bcuz he is such a pussy. but thats besides the point. this trend hopefully continues en route to an irish victory and a return to the top 10 and hopefully a top 5

Irish are number 1 in the country in time of possession. This is great, keep that USC offense off the field and keep our defense fresh....

They had the ball 37 minutes to Arizona's 23. That won't do. Reverse it, you've got a shot.

Can Crum shadow Bush? I don't know. I'm not sure he's up for the task. I do know this: He has a better shot than Hoyte did last year and whoever it was the year before that.
Getting to Leinart will be key. I think they can get good coverage, but they'll need to get to him before he can improv his way out of trouble. He has the ability to do just that.

Nobody is going to shadow Reggie Bush...period. Guys, we will control the clock and score a lot. USC will score a lot too obviously. We have got to jump on them early big time 17-0 or 14-0. Then when USC makes their adjustments at the half we have to match their scores. They cannot have unanswered scores!! Arizona stayed with the Trojans for a while, and I without a doubt believe our offense is better than Arizona's. With that being said, was USC playing basic defensive packages against Arizona? Then again Weis stated he was seen three years worth of USC tapes and he was watching them on Saturday. In Charlie I shall trust.

You HAVE to account for Bush.
They can win time of possession, but if Bush breaks a big one, it matters little.
If I were a D Coordinator preparing for this offense, I'd need prozac and tons of it.

We can bracket one of their receivers, either Smith or Jarrett, but Bush is the biggest mismatch for us. Carroll will use him all day.

Bush's TD last year and Smith's two were the result of VERY POOR coverage. I doubt that will occur this year.
If Ryan Grant and last year's offense ran the ball, I think this year's 11 certainly can. Remember, ND came out and hit them in the mouth last year. But the second half was horrid.
ND will run and stop the run. You heard it here first.
The SC passing game....give me a few days. I'll watch the Arizona tape again.

White is the guy that they have to take out of the equation very early.
As for Bush, he can and has beaten teams single handedly in game's past. He'll either beat you making plays or you'll overload on him and get burned by someone else.
Pound for pound, he's the best player in college football because he is so tough to match up against and prepare for. It is tough for a defense to make an offense react if they have Reggie Bush. Your ability to attack is that much less.
