Here are the Top 10 observations from Week #2.

1. Texas -v- USC for the NC unless one of them lose. And Texas ain't losing to Stoops this year.

2. Ohio St. is damn good and would have won that game if the TE makes the TD catch. Shows you how often in big games 1 play really does make the difference.

3. ND looks terrific again. Still waiting to see how Brady and Co. do against a Top 25 Defense.

4. Purdue is good (against Mighty Akron). Watch out. Not!

5. Lloyd Carr is an awful coach. Chad Henne is overrated. The Michigan Wide Receiver Corps is overrated. Overall, Michigan is overrated.

6. It was great to see LSU pull up their boots and get the job done.

7. UCLA is sneaky good. Watch them beat Oklahoma next week. They are going to run up the score like OU has been doing to them the last few years.

8. BC is the shnizzle. Watch them beat FSU next week.

9. Watch Tennessee's D next week teach Urban a thing or two.

10. I get the feeling Yale could win the Big East with each passing week.

I'd be very careful singing the praises of Texas just yet. And everyone is picking SC and Texas to go to the Rose Bowl, which therefore means it won't happen. One, if not both, won't be there.

Ohio State will win the Big Ten...or share with Purdue. Iowa is coming back down to Earth....HARD. Tate or no Tate, they probably lose that game Saturday anyway.

Notre Dame will go as far as their health carries them. They cannot afford an injury anywhere. Rhema McKnight's status has me holding my collective breath.

Please see #2 comment. Purdue is good.

Michigan is overrated....preaching to the choir, so I agree.

See first comment about Rose Bowl...LSU can get there.

See first comment....UCLA might be able to sneak up on SC...if Oregon, ASU or ND doesn't do it first.

I want BC on the schedule again ASAP.

First Urban loss in Florida coming Saturday.

Louisville should win the Big East blindfolded this year.

texas is only a great team while young is healthy. take him out, and they're beatable by a number of teams.

I think they fell to where they belong. They're a good top-15 team, behind OSU. I doubt Purdue is better than Michigan. Don't know enough about Iowa to say one way or the other.

You can say this about a lot of people. If Quinn gets hurt, bottom falls out. If OU loses Adrian Peterson....

true, jiggafini, but texas' entire offensive philosophy seems to be built around young being at quarterback.

Lloyd Carr is not an awful coach, he's kept the program running at an elite level for many years and captured a national title. I only wish we could have that consistency over the years.

Tennessee will beat Florida, too bad for Meyer.

I look at their schedule and, as of now in this young season, I don't see anyone giving them trouble with the exception of Texas A & M. OU is really going to have to step up their passing game and find a QB, otherwise that one will be a Red River Roast.

i think that's a pretty accurate assessment. at the end of the day, young is a franchise player, so to speak, that may well lead them to a championship. or at least into the title game.

Something tells me that neither USC or Texas will be there. Typically, if it is what everyone is expecting it doesn't happen.

I could see VA Tech or LSU sneaking in there.

i think we're going to need a few more games into the season before that can be predicted. i think SC has a better chance of faltering than texas, but then again, i thought ohio state would be a legit contender as well.

Clearly. It is far too early and everyone is getting ahead of themselves. This Florida -Tennessee game has implications.

Watch out for VA Tech. They've got a nice squad down there.

I'm not sold on Texas. The win in Columbus was huge and I don't think anyone expected them to win. That said, they may be favored against OU. Texas will have to beat OU and they won't sneak up on them. Stoops is probably the best 3 coaches in the country pound for pound. A & M can give them a run, too. Reggie McNeal is the best QB in Texas. Book it.

One of those guys is going to the NFL and it isn't Vince Young.

Texas biggest down fall is the big 12. There are way to many rivalries down there for any team to survive. The big 12 teams get way up for rival games. Every year some underdog team pulls the big team down wether it be texas tech upsetting OU a few years back or A&M taking out Texas. It happens about every other year and I know if there was one conference i wouldn't want to be in, it would be the Big 12.

I'm not so sure about Tennessee taking out Florida. Tennessee struggled in their opener against UAB. The 2 QB trial ended up with 3 interceptions. They better have everything figured out if they are going to take it to Florida in the "Swamp"

And finally, I know its too far away to think about it, but lets say ND upsets USC? Who goes to the NC if USC and Texas both have 1 loss? Va. Tech if they stay undefeated...this season could be wide open for anyone.

Florida's first two opponents were clowns, although Wyoming is a good program with a great coach. Still, when the hell does Urban have a friggin' road game?

The Vol defense isn't Louisiana Tech.

Come 'on...Vince Young would get a good look by a lot of NFL teams, especially after he piles up the numbers this season. He could win the Heisman, although that isn't worth much, just ask Jason White.
I'm a Denver Bronco fan and right now, I'd say we could plug in Vince Young and have as good of chance at winning as with Jake the Fake. He throws 2 interceptions on the way to the game just to warm up.
