From ohio state site,

Darrin Walls is considered by some to be the best corner in the country.

His current top 5 is Michigan, Pitt, Virginia, Ohio State and Notre Dame. He currently lists michigan, and ND as his favorites, says ohio state is a long shot because of depth....

Damn that would be a huge recruit. Like I said before All the QB talk is nice but we need some Secondary stars.

If he is looking at depth at the position and wanting to play early with his talent I would think he would chose ND.

If we are going to compete in the BCS, we are going to have to hit Ohio hard! They always have a ton of D-1 stars!

I think Luck and I are the only people that have this as top priority on the concerns list. Have you seen the 2005 schedule? 2006? Pass happy teams with tons of talent. Gotta have good DBs back there. Or get Romeo Crennel as a consultant.

i think you've got some pretty good justifications for that reasoning....i still believe, however, that C-Dub and his staff will surprise some people this year. granted, we don't have the talent or speed in the secondary to have a powerhouse secondary next year, but at the same time, we've still got more talent than your average mid-major program. i'm still confident that the staff will do a much better job of using the talent they already have, and that we'll put together a respectable secondary for the fall. poor player development was a hallmark of the davie and willingham programs.

They will have to play very good team defense up front to cover up for the inadequate corners they have. Tommy Z and Freddie Parrish could be strong at safety. Parrish at corner leaves a great deal to be desired. Ray Herring could be playing right away.
