Lol u could say the whole country is a ND country - you had said that...
ND's subway alum - while the numbers are WAY down from what they used to be they are still high...i mean OSU Michigan Texas NOBODY has as many fans as us but wait till Weis starts winning - y the whole country will be singing the ND fight song - i went to the Insight bowl this year when ND was playing - i dont know if u could see on the TV but there were almost NO osu fans....i mean there was about 1 small section of them - but the whole stadium was ND fans....if u could see the band there were about 5 3 person rows there - ND band about 20 10 person rows - ND had about 150 players OSU had about 75 on and on....obviously the ND name can work wonders as being proven by Weis right now in recruting - ESPN will be ducking in the back ally on January 1, 2006

NY is an ND town. I'd love taking the train to the bronx to see ND play. Thats where the term ND alum came from, it was working class people in NY that would take the train to see ND play. NY is probably ND's biggest fan base.
Actually, while ND has the largest singular fanbase, we are also the most hated team in America. That's why I love it: Knowing this attitude originated in the good old days when a Protestant America hated ND because of its Catholicism.
Did we ever play Navy at Yankees Stadium? I didn't know that, if its true. We used to play Army in the Polo Grounds and at Giants Stadium though.
Frankly, I saw Navy play at Ravens Stadium and didn't really like it. I prefer the college stadiums.

Yeah ND played some big games at Yeankee staduim. that was a long time ago though. Notre Dame also played the NY giants, once in the 30;s or 40;s, ND lost 22-0
