Fun fact that no one cares about while I'm talking about him:

My freshman year in high school, I wasn't good enough to make the travel squad for varsity playoff games... so I volunteered to be an equipment manager through the playoffs, so I could be at the games with the team anyway. Team bus, team meal, team travel schedule were all better than the arrangements the school made for the student section, so it was a no-brainer.

The first game I played water boy for? Against Raceland (KY) High School, where Gerad Parker was on the opposite sideline coaching WR's/DB's. Small-ish world for this Notre Dame internet message board loser!

FWIW as of an hour ago Saban was enjoying Gasparilla as a Bama fan sniped a pic. Sounds like Saban flew in just to meet with Tommy.

Ahh fair point. Well, if you ever get towards Tampa at the end of January, Gasparilla is a blast. Whole pirate themed festival type deal with a big parade and a boat cavalcade that makes its way from the bay into the city itself.

I’m just shocked that anyone would want anything to do with our lazy/nepotism hire, our hated Tommy Boy. I know this to be true because brilliant minds on this board beat me over the head with it in virtually every thread for 6 months.
