The first quote is rather funny. What are your thoughts? I've got a few ideas for mascot for them, but I'm pretty sure a can of Spam is trademarked.

Well, the obvious is a wolverine, but as the article points out, they were not able to contain the glutton weasel (do a google or wiki on wolverine, that is what they call the animal).

I would say no mascot. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Otherwise, Michigan is a yawn to me. As has been mentioned before on another thread, heated rivalries seem to be local. You midwest folk like to unlike midwest teams, I like to unlike USC and, to a way lesser extent, UCLA.

Don't get me started on the NM Lobo/UTEP basketball rivalry. Or the UTEP/NMSU Aggie football rivalry. I might get banned.

Not true. I only "unlike" scUM. I happen to like UWisconsin and bucky the badger. I even like OSU (because they beat scUM all the time) and I think it's fun to chant I-L-L-I-N-I! Well ok ok, I'll be honest, I like ND and anyone who beats Michigan. I was looking for a little humor in this thread. I like the yo mama jokes.
