Not heard anything but if I'm not mistaken, they've been pretty consistent in terms of price the past 10 years or so.

I believe last year it was broadcasted on Versus, and in 2010 UND.com did a live feed.

Im thinkin about goin to the game, but does anyone know if it will be on versus again this year?

I think I remember them announcing last year that it was going to be on Versus again but I am not positive.

The game will almost definitely be on NBC Sports (Versus is gone).

Anyone remember off the top of their head how much tickets go for? Also, is the game still set for April 21st? I am strongly considering getting tickets and surprising my dad, who has been a fan since the 60s but has never been to South Bend.

Don't waste your time with the spring game, take him to a regular season game instead...

From what I remember, 10 bucks. But I could be wrong.

I agree. If finances are a problem, then yes, good time to take him. If not, go to a real game. This is just a glorified scrimmage, a chance to get to watch the Irish one last time until September (4 and a half LONG months). But really, they're kinda boring, it's often times rainy, the crowd is dead, etc.

Now, I don't blame people for going one bit. I was supposed to go but I have to take some stupid teacher's test that they are only offering that weekend (or I'd have to wait until July), so I get the allure. But really, if possible, wait until the season to take your old man for his first trek...

While gameday tix can be pricey, and the atmosphere is always much better on gamedays.....I go because I try to never miss a chance to visit campus. Rain or shine, its always beautiful and worth the trip. LA is right, tix are usually between 10-15 bucks. The last few years, I'd say the weather hasn't been too bad dor the game.

Yeah I would take in a regular game first as well. Been to plenty of both and there's really no comparison. Gameday price for regular season games isn't terrible depending on how much you want to spend, who ND is playing, and where you get them.

That's not to say the spring game isn't fun. It's easier to get closer to the stadium if you don't have a parking pass to tailgate, it's cheaper, and there's still a good amount of people. But the weather can suck. Last year it was brutal, downpouring during the game and doing that nasty freezing cold drizzle before the game. Nothing that a beer blanket can't solve though.

Finances are a bit of a problem. I am starting to pay back school loans without having a full-time job yet. It's more about getting him out to the campus and the stadium, and we both love recruiting and seeing the young guys.

I am strongly considering a game trip for 2012 anyway, but it may have to wait until 2013. Thanks for the info, guys.

Spring game gives you a chance to see alot of the young guys. If you get tickets before the day of the game they are 10 bucks.

If you want a chance to see all the QBs in action this is it.

Depending on what game you hit up during the season, you can get gamedays for as low as 20 bucks.

Depends when you get there. In my experience, there is no problem getting a spot in the lots outside the stadium.

Probably just a dopey question there Meau... ;) Sh!t, you were just on campus and if I'm not mistaken, have an extra ticket which you brought up last week so your douchebaggery has been busted. lmao

How crowded do you think it will be at the stadium? seat-wise? 10,000? 20,000? 50,000? 81,000?

Usually half full... but they shut down sections and the stadium looks like a construction site. Plenty of room for everyone.

It was a legitimate question! lol I know what day, but I didn't know what time the game started and I wanted to get a feel of when I should leave town to make it up there.
