I prefer our guys refrain from language that harsh.
I tend to agree with this, which is why I'm sure that video got taken down. Calling him a "bitch" is borderline, the rest is pretty across the line for a public comment. But it's also a FAFO situation for Cig who taunted and disrespected Notre Dame for weeks and then turned into a mouse once the ball was snapped.

Animals tend to fight once backing in to a corner.
Cig pulled a classic BK move.
Tried to not get embarassed.

Cignetti reminds me a lot of my college coach but instead of James Madison, he got a lot of my teammates from the Dominican Republic.

Came off as a hard ass tough guy…”we take shit from nobody”, “I recruit god damn beer drinkers, fuck a milk drinker”, “we’ll play your ass in the god damn fucking parking lot”, etc…

But EVERY year when it came time to fly out to Lewiston for the CWS, he completely ghosted us. Just no showed. The first year we were like WTF?…but then we became to expect it.

Didn’t realize that was what ended his tenure at Tech.

It's hard for me to say "Come on, use your body like a weapon to destroy this guy and make him crumble! Also watch your language no bad words!" I'm sure all of the shit talking from Cignetti was used the last two weeks to hype our guys up. It shows our team locks in to what our staff is telling them honestly.

True story. I played 4 CWS without Hersh. We’d always be on the bus wondering if he’d show, never did. We kind of got used to it.

We still did ok finishing 3rd one year and 5th the other without him. Guarantee we’d have won one of those rings with him. The year before I got there is the one time he traveled and Tech finished runners up.

Great coach just let us down when it meant most.

Talked shit AGGRESSIVELY and LOUDLY, including on game day. Watch when he talks about "beating their ass", Saban doesn't even crack a smile and almost distances himself from Cig at that moment. He was acting like a teen who just had his first drink, who desperately wants attention. Great coaches don't scream about "beating their ass" on TV to try and get cred; great coaches get cred by repeatedly doing it.

He completely withered in the moment. He had no idea how outclassed his team was, like didn't even have it on the bingo card, that's why he looked dumbfounded and made terrible decisions all game.

Honestly it's great for IU to have someone who can give their fanbase a little confidence, but I don't think this talk can build up the program the same way someone like Freeman can. One, it makes you and your team a target. Two, when you don't coach with that confidence, it makes you look insincere, like an actor. I also could see the cockiness not playing with every recruit or parent. Maybe it works out for IU, but it really isn't our business again. Like last night proved, they are in a different class than ND and the real contenders. 24 hours later and I am still happy for the IU fans to have something to root for with their sports for their first time in a decade.

Going forward is going to be interesting. Can he recruit at P5 level even in the portal. They have the money.

I mentioned before, this team was built around his JMU transfers. This game showed they were at JMU and not a P5 school for a reason. Cignetti acknowledged ND was bigger, faster and stronger.

Just curious of their schedule next year… pretty favorable again. At Oregon and Penn state are the toughest games. No Michigan or OSU. They get busy in the portal they could have a good year again.

As I'm watching the game again, the Cignetti punt just happened. There was an injury timeout to Young, this clown had time to think about it and still punted. What a weird decision, still had a punchers chance and said "No Thanks"

It can't. We got the Minnesota next door up here. This guy is a bit like Row the Boat. The goal at those schools is to win 7-8 games. They need a schtick to do that unless they are an up and comer....which idk if that really exists as much anymore.

Indiana is gonna be happy to be winning some games in the B1G, Cignetti is not trying to build a championship team at Indiana? Because it's pretty well impossible. Their wet dream is to somehow win a B1G in a down year. That dream used to be sorta realistic when it was ten teams. It really isn't anymore.

Nah man, it's true. He's a complete fraud. Anybody could take this powerhouse of a program and go 11-1.

He lost at ND by 10 points. What a fraud.
27-3 with 3 min left. He got his ass kicked. He can send Gokden a thank you note for ending another beautiful game with that idiotic prevent D.

I wonder if they'll post the full game on YouTube. It's not NBC so I could see Notre Dame not having the rights to it.

It’s ok to protest just not that way.

It’s ok to speak just not that way.

It’s ok to do what you want just not that way

😂

This shit never gets played out.
So Mr. Bleeding Heart is okay with him calling him the N word? There’s a reason the post was taken down. SMH
