I wonder where Doyle is getting this? Hooker is also a project, but he's a lot more mobile than Levis.

Why don't you all do us Packers fans a favor and trade for Rodgers since the Jets clearly don't want to pony up for our asking price :)

packers will give eventually. they have no leverage. Going to pay rodgers to sit on the sideline? He doesnt want to be there and they dont want him there and hes expensive.

On the other hand, they're on the hook for $40M of his salary this year trade or no trade, so I think they have slightly more leverage than people think. They don't HAVE to give him up, they're already cap compliant and have already extended their key guys.

You're giving up a first ballot HOF QB for less than $20M to the opposing team. I think that's why there's a disagreement in the compensation, IMO. The cap hit for the Pack also drops substantially if it's a post June 1st trade...so maybe a later suiter arrives and they trade Rodgers for less if it's after the draft.

Anyways, not to derail the Colts talk, I was just a little surprised that they weren't potentially in on the negotiations with the Raiders and Jets.

Well you can pay 40m for nothing or you can pay it and have draft picks. It's still not much leverage.

Colts signed Isaiah McKenzie. After all these years I’ll finally get to see his speed on the field. Lol

Calling it now - Indy takes Anthony Richardson at #4. Between the combine, pro day, top 30 visit, and multiple zoom interviews, they’ve spent the most time on him. Additionally, his was the only pro day they sent Morocco Brown to. He’s the top scout in the building. Tons of people are gonna hate it but the FO loves his upside and will bet on Steichen to mold him.

I would be thrilled. I've wanted him this whole time.

Richardson is a huge boom or bust prospect. He’d ridiculously athletic and has a big arm, but has very little experience and his stats were pretty unimpressive. I think he’s a guy that needs to sit behind an experienced QB for a couple of years and the Colts don’t have that guy. I’m hoping Stroud falls to them. I’ve seen a lot of mock drafts that have Houston taking a DE. Hope this is what happens.

Shoot me. Huge upside means unproven, unknown and a lot to learn. Odds are more against than for him. I hope I’m wrong.

Highest ceiling than any QB in the draft, his running ability raises his floor but still a big project.

Agree. Unless he’s a fast learner or Minshew gets hurt, he’s probably sitting until year two. Then the grind begins.

I’m all for this move. Minshew is an upgrade over whatever the hell we did last year anyway so we weren’t ever going to be bad enough to get Caleb Williams. AR could really be phenomenal in Steichen’s scheme. Some smoke that Richardson could get some early run…but honestly I think Minshew is probably good enough to win 8-9 games. I like the pick. I would’ve probably preferred Stroud, but we’re calling our shot.

Now trade back into the first round and draft Mayer…

I’m still really irritated they didn’t trade up to the 1st pick. To me that’s a gutless move when QB is your glaring weakness and what’s been holding you back. I don’t have anything against Richardson. I hope he proves me wrong and kills it, but I don’t think this was the right move for the franchise.

The Colts HC was the Eagles OC. If they are going to run the offense of the NFC Champion 2022 Eagles, it might be the best thing to happen to Richardson. Doesn't mean it'll work, but on paper, it looks like a fit when you look at the packages they ran with Hurts and what Richardson could be capable of.
