apparently John Anthony Brooks has accepted an invite to play with the USMNT against Bosnia and Herzegovina next month. That is absolutely huge news. While it would not captie him you would have to think if he impresses at CB that he will get called in for qualifying to do so.

Solid write up, but I will never cheer for Mexico, even if they are the last CONCACAF team in the World Cup. It would be very detrimental to my health and sanity if Mexico ever made a WC final.

Gold Cup final in half an hour. Shame Klinsmann won't be on the pitch, hopefully U.S. pulls off the victory without him. Klinsmann received a ton of criticism earlier in his tenure, but it sure seems he has the team going in the right direction now. U.S. soccer definitely needed some reshuffling and the early bumbs in the road may have led to a brighter future.

Pretty pumped for this final. I'm expecting a very, very pro-American crowd.

No surprises really in the starting 11 other than Bedoya and Corona are the starting wingers and Holden is starting over Diskerud.

Well U.S. absolutely dominated possession. Had a couple good first half chances. Donovan just was not able to locate the ball in time on one. The other was just a wasted opportunity by Bedoya. Hopefully the goals will come in the second half, but Panama is pretty tough along the back line. Going to have to cash in when we get an opportunity.
