I am aware of a thing called a podcast, but my old soul has no clue how they work... I bow my head in shame.

I did love Satellite radio when I had it, we went on a debt elimination push about five years ago and got rid of it... I'm a sad panda.

Also, Men in Blazers are funny, I like them, but I'm just not that into English soccer... I tried, I even picked a Scottish border team like Newcastle... I, just, can't, do, it.... and MnB are way too EPL-centric for me... I'll have to look into the other ones tho...

Yeah, Men in Blazers won't be for you most of the time, but they LOVE our national teams, so those podcasts are good for someone like you. They've had some great interviews with guys like Kyle Beckerman and Alexi Lalas, and many women players as well. Total Soccer and Best Soccer Show are perfectly suited for you. And Total Soccer Show has blown up the past year, so they are now doing show 3 times a week. Unfortunately for you they'll start talking EPL soon (mixed in with other stuff).

And dude, I'm a friggin' relic when it comes to technology, and even I learned how to set up podcast (OK, my wife did it for me, but still, it's beyond easy once you get the hang of it).

I agree with 23 on the MLS too, it's already passed the Dutch league imo and is close enough to Portugal to make the case... the growth has been unreal, just 5-6 years ago the Scottish League was heads and tails above the MLS, now it's the other way around... now Scotland falling completely apart has something to do with that but so does the MLS getting MUCH better in a very short amount of time. Those who have watched for years I'm sure would agree, the league is night and day from where it was when say, Beckham first arrived.

MLS's growth will be directly affected by the Eurozone continuing to falter. Look at Serie A. The highest paid Italian there is Danielle De Rossi making 5.5 million euros (after taxes). In MLS, Giovinco (who is not nearly the player that De Rossi is) and Pirlo are both making $8+ million a year. As the Euro falters, MLS (and EPL, to be fair) will only get stronger as transfer fees will become much more manageable for teams.

Embrace the podcasts. Dump the radio.

Happy the copa and women's tourney are both done. Now we can speculate more about how many points Pool will win the Prem by this upcoming season ;)

Pool might make the top 4 next year. I really like the signing of Firmino, but I don't think Clyne or Ings are the right answers.

I like all the Reds' acquisitions but they still need a proven #9 who fits Rodgers pressing, high-energy style. Suarez was the perfect striker for Rodgers, and he never found a substitute. Firmino is great but I think he is better in the hole. He didn't show me much in the Copa America as far as capability to lead the line.

I like Ings, but I'll need to see more from him to know what he is capable of. Origi is also coming into the squad ... not sure if he will be the answer?

There have been rumors putting Liverpool and Higuain together. I would like that signing, unconvincing Copa America notwithstanding.

Also rumors about Liverpool and Benteke. I think Benteke is outstanding, but not sure he is the right signing for Rodgers.

One way or another, they gotta get the right pieces in the attack. That's all that's really missing, in my opinion. Maybe another holding midfielder to replace Lucas, if he goes, as has been rumored.

Origi is one of my favorite young players in the world. No idea if he is ready for the top tier of the Premier League, but when he plays for Belgium he instantly provides a spark for them.

You subscribe to the ones you want and in the options you can set up how you want to get them and how often. It takes just bit of time per podcast once you subscribe but once it is set up all I have to do is swipe "down" on my iPod and it automatically downloads all the new ones I haven't listened to and erases all the ones I have listened to. I do it before I get in the shower each morning and it's done before I leave the house.

There are tons of free ones and I don't subscribe to any that cost money. It might worth making a podcast thread to discuss further.

Liverpool signed U-18 USA Brooks Lennon to a contract last week. Kid has been killing it in the RSL academy and for the national team. He now has an Irish passport which allowed him to work in England without delay. He is not a replacement for Suarez but I am glad he is getting a shot.

So there's a new Lennon in Liverpool?

Line up predictions for tonights?

I am going with

---------------Jozy------Dempsey-----------------
-----------------Bradley----------------------------
---Bedoya----------------------------Yedlin---------
--------------------Beckerman------------------------
F. Johnson---Brooks-------Omar-----------Chandler-----
---------------------Guzan------------------------

Not really anything too bold. Only inclusions that weren't there for the previous game are Bedoya and Beckman. The only other serious question IMO is if its Omar or Alvarado. I rate Omar but Klinsmann seems to really like Alvarado.

I am glad it is an Irish passport; no one else had distinguished if it was English or Irish. He seems to be quite a talent and I was worried we might lose him to England. I don't think we will lose him to the Irish though especially if he is the YNT system.

Brooks Lennon reeks of a Brit name haha.

That's why Klinsmann is a moron...

Anyway, I'm not the biggest Beckerman fan, I can't be the only one can I?

He was my least favorite player until the 2013 Gold Cup when I became just cool on him. I then thought in 2014 WC he performed as one of the US's better players behind Howard, Jones, and Dempsey.

Remember the name Ethan Horvath. 20 year old American starting for Molde (the best team in Norway) at keeper.

Joshua
Gatt

I like Moldes build up style when I've had the chance to see them, it's like Oregons spread offense soccer style. At least that's how it looked when I've seen them.

Is Bedoya fit enough? That's the only reason I wouldn't include him, and I'd go Johnson to mid and Garza behind him. I am NOT a Timmy Chandler fan at right back, but he is clearly Klinnsman's #1 RB, so oh well.

Like 23 said, he had a great WC and played his role to a T. I've become a big fan. Plus he's a down to earth dude with a smoking girlfriend. I like that lol.

Zardes at LM was expected though I was hoping for Bedoya.

Alvarado-Gonzalez was a coin flip. Disappointed, but Alvarado has been good.

.

I agree with everything you said. When Fabian Johnson started at LM for Borussia Monchengladbach they were undefeated in like 25 games or something like that. I am not a Timmy Chandler the defender fan, but I sure like him going forward. I honestly think he would be a decent midfielder. Tactically though, he is always out of sorts on defense.

Stop lol.

And yeah Haiti should be winning. their defender messed up big time and Panama had an awesome strike to score.

Panama's coach is trying to get a red.
