If so how much and where? I'm going to the Chili Peppers show at the Quicken Loans Arena this Saturday, and I'm looking for some help finding good bars within walking range of the arena. Does anyone from Cleveland or familiar with the area have any suggestions?

Can a mod fix the title of this thread? It's supposed to read: Cleveland...does it rock?

Not sure how I messed that up.

I grew up 20 minutes outside of Cleveland. It doesn't really rock too much, but the better bars are right there around the arena or out in Lakewood, which is a little west of the city (where the young professionals live). I don't really have any recommendations for you 'cause I don't really know your scene. But Yelp should be a good place to start.

But, if you want good wings and beer, the Winking Lizard has great food.

I'm not looking for anything even close to fancy. Just a few good places to get a nice buzz on and a bite to eat before the show with my gf. Very impressive beer list at the Winking Lizard...but it looks like its too far away from the show.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I thought I saw Cleveland Heights on their website? Stone Arrogant Bastard is back on the drink menu.

There is one out there too. There are a few in the Cleveland area and yeah, they have a huge beer selection. Just search winking lizard cleveland in google maps and it will show up in the right spot.

Have fun at the show! I know the Peppers put on an awesome one.

There is a Lizard a couple of blocks away from the arena. Most of the "hot spots" are around the East 4th/brand new HorseShoe Casino on public square. Lots of bars, clubs, gambling and good eats. Hope that helps.
