Interesting……seems like Portnoy would be smart enough not to make up something that could be easily fact checked. Wonder why he is just making stuff up, odd.
This is just weird the only reference to Jolin Ellison being married to Larry Ellison is by sports articles about Underwood. No where else can find her referenced. Nothing on his wiki page and I don’t see a wiki page on her. This is weird. No where except articles about the underwood flip do I see any reference to Ellison currently being married.

Mods please move this to Michigan thread if you feel I am derailing this thread. Just very curious about this situation because it doesn’t make sense.

A super quick google search says you’re wrong…
That’s an AI over view which again is in reference to the Underwood flip. I can find no other information about his marriage to her and his wiki page says he has been divorced 4 times and never married to anyone named Jolin. I am not trying to be right or wrong. I am just trying to understand it.

Appreciate the respectful response, and I was also not trying to be right or wrong just posting what I found because I too was curious about how all that transpired. I must admit though, I am a little ignorant still of all the AI stuff and what is real and not when it comes to googling things these day.

He’s not married and none of his 4 exes have that name and his current girl friend doesn’t have that name and has no connection to UM.
that was his previous gf before this Jolin gal, lol so funny that this dumb NIL michigan story is how they publicized their marriage lol

I agree, it doesn’t make sense.

Champions Circle deleted that statement Friday and shared a new one, hours later, that removed the surname “Ellison” and referred only to “Larry and his wife Jolin.”
Shit like this dont help

Larry Ellisons “secret wife” with the same sur name as him. That would mean that she either conveniently had the same last name or legally changed her name which would then not make this much of a secret. Lol.

AI combined with sports “reporting” is going to be the end of us all.

That was a very well-reported story with a lot in there. I thought this part was pretty interesting...

Yeah holding the players accountable by being on time and ensuring their health with nutrients and technology is creating a culture problem? Who is this source?

LSU just seems rotten to the core if the players can’t do simple responsible tasks that are in their own best interest.

For sure. But also maybe Kelly got so accustomed to shopping down a certain aisle that he forgot how to cook other kinds of food, and that different cuisines call for different methods of cooking.

(the source was described as a former assistant of BKs, btw.)

I'm old so don't relate, I guess, but I'd think that if some of your studs don't think their sh!t stinks, and begin acting that way, that starts splitting the team. Everybody laughs about RKG, but I always valued RKG teammates. Hell, you never could be sure of the team orientation of the (literally) individual centered player, nor therefore the effort in any given situation (not every selfish bastard is Jordan, who just won because ... .) For sure you couldn't count on the me-me guy taking any responsibility to improve his "Rolls-Royce Self." So I'm not surprised that a school which doesn't have that extra character-culling element which ND typically has, has given our old (naive) coach problems. .. rotten apples don't have to be a HIGH percentage to screw things up. Just a few of those you're counting on is plenty enough.

You could even argue it only takes ONE crazy person to control the mood of the entire room, ask any school teacher or prison guard and they would probably agree.

Yep. I've seen that. In college I could just throw him out, and show the rest of the students how life really goes --- most teachers and job leaders don't have quite that much leeway. But I remember a guy who did it anyway: Lou Holtz at Arkansas. Coach Lou had a bunch of bad actors (in key team positions --- something like 5-7 or more) and he left that entire crowd home for the bowl game. Lou had a good grasp of his team's character and they went out and won despite the left-behinds.

If BK was the coach of this team, they would get beat in the first round playoff game, and it wouldn't matter if it was Bama or ASU.

If Brian Kelly was the coach we would have crushed NIU...

..but we would have lost to TexasAM, Louisville and USC
Funny. I went through the schedule and had definitel losses to a&m and usc. Louisville was a toss up for me. Either way, we’d be on the outside looking in at the playoffs. Kudos to Freeman for getting us to the playoffs
