Let’s nitpick some negatives:
1. Our short yardage run game seems weirdly bad. Why don’t we QB sneak?

2. Kicking game is cheeks.

3. DBs with stone hands dropping interceptions.

With that out of the way… to be honest, I do not understand how Penn State is ranked ahead of us. We are playing better football than anyone. Would love the #5 seed because it’s a much easier path, but regardless just focus on taking care of business against USC.

My only complaint is that our defensive is so thin that the 2nd team has true freshman and walk ons and gives up cheap tds.

Basically what we expected.

I think they're bringing Jeter back before he's healthy and it isn't working.

ND had 10 drives, 1 turn over on downs, 2 missed FGs, 7 TDs. Not too shabby.

Leonard was really efficient throwing the ball tonight. I can only remember one bad throw and it was the miss in the end zone to Greathouse.

Love, Price and Williams all looked great and the RB room is stacked!!! With that said, if Love got 15-20 touches per game, I think he'd be in the finals for the Heismann. Dude is a freak athlete and has turned into an excellent RB.

Ausberry and Sneed played great games. Having great athletes at the LB spot made it really difficult for Army to get anything going outside.

ND tackled really well all game at all defensive positions.

Only complaint is the FG unit. But I don't necessarily put either of those on Jeter. Everyone knows that he's still injured and is limited...so I'm not sure why he was left out there on the 48 yard FG after the stupid penalty. The second one definitely wasn't his fault. It seemed like that could have been called a penalty on the guy that got the block.

But regardless, when we've got backups in the game in the 3rd quarter of a critical game against a ranked opponent, I'd say today was a DAMN good day!

No team in America can endure the lethal combo of freezing December weather and the Six Flags song

I hear that they're going to bring the dancing old man out as a special guest before the 4th quarter to do the dance.

If we can get by USC Jeter would have 3 weeks to recover

We ain’t winning any championship with this kicking squad. If our analytics says to kick it our analytics are wrong.
I would have to believe MF and Denbrock are smart enough to know how to build/pick a few plays to choose which formation to run in a 4th and short/mid/long situation to avoid the demonstrated kicking situation...

To an extent.

Sevillano is playing ahead of upperclassmen like Vernon and Houstan.

Player development is off the charts with this staff. Guys are getting better literally every week and every player is prepared for the moment when they get their chance. Even against the backups and backups backups they are making teams drive the field and earn it. Offense improves weekly and is night and day from a couple weeks ago which was night and day from a couple weeks before that.
