On NBC Sports.

Irish leading 1-0 in the first period. This is the first time I've seen a game in the new Arena, looks nice!

Then you're obviously not that much of an IRISH fan, dude.

The sports I care about at ND are football (obviously), bball (men's), hockey, and lacrosse. Until I graduated, I never missed one of the games in any of these sports unless bball and hockey were at the same time. Now, I watch whenever the games are available streaming or televised. Just because it's not fun doesn't mean I don't watch. The ND football team hasn't been fun to watch since 2006. Basketball is off and on, and this year, they're not very good. Hockey and Lax are consistently in the top 15 in the nation and play up to their talent level unlike football. They are dominant, confident, and well-coached, and thus, fun to watch.

Man glad to see our Hockey program headed in the right direction. College Hockey is an unusual beast with the Junior Leagues and players getting drafted early and what-not. I really appretiate getting some Irish Hockey updates. I've only been able to catch the 2 games that were on major networks. I try my best to follow but it's tough. Maybe I'll try to stream a game or two I haven't given it a go yet. Is the quality decent? Again..the updates and any play by play is greatly appretiated guys! THANK YOU!

I really wish I could be a bigger fan of Hockey, LAX, and Baseball (I do ok following BBall since it's more "main-stream). I'm just not as into the non-football sports...but I try...I can name 2 Irish hockey players but as serious as I am about the football program with knowing the players every move and life-story I just don't feel like a good Irish fan haha.

I don't know where you can stream the games from, but if you don't have the new NBC sports channel, you can go to und.com, hover over sports, click on hockey, and then scroll to the bottom where they'll have the schedule, and then click on gametracker.

haha good luck with that. And yeah, Anders is pretty awesome, but I think our best player might be Tynan. He's only 19, but the kid is awesome.

Just for you, I will post a Notre Dame lax primer after NSD to get you up to speed for the season ;)

On a side note, forget baseball. College baseball is the pits.

I didn't expect Michigan's unbeaten streak to go on the rest of the season, so I rather it end this past Friday than in March or April. That said, Michigan took control and shut ND down last night.

JUST LIKE FOOTBALL *CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP* ;)

Seriously though, I'm gonna miss this rivalry with ND when the CCHA dissolves next season and we go our separate ways. This rivalry is personal for me. It'll be very interesting to see what ND can do in that buzzsaw of a conference Hockey East against BC and BU. Hell, even the Maine Black Bears are starting to pick things up it seems.

Nice new arena by the way. Really looks like a classy hockey barn.

See ya at JLA in the CCHA Tournament Semifinals or Championship game! GO BLUE!

You call a 2-1 win "shutting nd down"? By that logic 3-1 must be an epic blowout

If you watched the game, Michigan played great defensively and shut the ND offense down. They have some scorers on that team and letting them only score 1 on the road is good.

I watched a game between two top ten teams that ended 2-1 and thought, " wow that was a great game and both teams played well." After ND won on Friday, I thought the same thing, not that ND " shut them down". But whatever, i don't expect much from a michigan fan.

Michigan shut down notre dame's offense Saturday night, ND shut down Michigan's offense Friday night. The series is 1-1-0. Even. Both teams seem like they're evenly matched, and I would love to see them play in the CCHA Tournament Championship game at JLA in March.

I give ND tons of credit. They were a laughing stock in the 90s and now they are a national power in hockey and the University has showed a major committed to hockey.

Interesting stat: Michigan's all-time record on the road against ND is 23-23-2.

Hopefully the CCHA gives Michigan and ND a home and home next season because this one-off type thing sucks. I'd love to see a home and home in the swan song of the rivalry.

Is the plan for every school in the Big Ten to eventually add Division 1 hockey?

Not every school. The only one adding D1 hockey in the foreseeable future is penn state.

I hope other schools do though, that would be a guaranteed 5 straight conference championships for Michigan.

The tournament format blows. Conference champion gets to host semifinals and finals of tournament, while 3-6 play best of 3 series and winners advance to play 1&2 in the semis & final.

Wish they'd keep it at JLA.
