I rarely post so my opinion matters little but these recruiting threads that devolve into food discussions are stupid and spoil the board.

IMO, one of the beautiful things about this board is the recruiting history. This board was sort of a living document on recruits. If you wanted to lookup a past recruit there would be a thread here where you could track their journey and find info that you hadn't known or had forgotten.

The endless pages of food non-sequiturs on recruits simply ruin the board experience and it's robs if of the real time documentation that had been recorded.

If someone in 8 years wants to re-track Dante Moore god help them because that entire thread is pages upon pages of uselessness drek that NOBODY will want to wade through in search for information.

My 2 cents. Do what you want. But its freaking childish.

I get it, but if you're a regular reader and follower of recruiting, when things go south with a recruit, food/recipes are a sort of catharsis that provide levity for those who need it. The bigger the recruit or perceived miss, the more the cope.

Also, who has time to go back and reread the pages of this stuff??

I went to a house party back when I was attending UF for my Masters. There was a whiteboard in the living room with a bunch of stuff written on it, like PlayStation, laptop, gold chain.

My friend asked one of the tenants why they had all that stuff written on the whiteboard. He said that Cam Newton was his neighbor and this was a list of stuff that Cam had stolen from them.

After we got done talking, the guy walked away. My friend picked up a can opener off of the counter and put it in his pocket. He then walked up to the whiteboard and wrote can opener on it. Lol

2nd most wins of any ND QB? 4th All Time in Passing Yards. 5th Most Passing Yards in a season. 3rd All Time in TDs. 6th in TDs in a single season. Came in multiple times to bail out Golson to preserve the undefeated 2012 regular season. Scored the only TD in the Michigan game...with his feet (That's ultimate embarrassment to Michigan). Led late game winning drives that season against Purdue and Stanford. He also was the ND QB to snap the 9 game losing streak to USC. He would have been undefeated against USC in his career had he not gotten knocked out of the 2011 game and Crist fumbled the game away.

That's just some facts from his time as a player. As an OC he beat two highly ranked Clemson teams twice. Went undefeated in the regular season in 2020. 31-8 as an OC including Freeman's first year where we managed to win 9 games with Drew Pyne at QB. Did pretty well considering we had to start a ton of freshmen in 2021 and 2022 due to the lack of offensive recruiting by Long and BK in the 2019 and 2020 classes. The upperclassmen starting for us in the playoff right now and the Sophomores like Love are the players from Rees' three recruiting classes.

This was my thought as well watching the video. Cam talking about earning things, etc etc....this from the dude that basically bragged about getting the bag before NIL was even a thing. He was arrested during his time at Florida for burglary, larceny, and obstruction of justice. 3 times he cheated at Florida by trying to put his name on another student's paper and pass it off as his own. Each time the teacher asked the student he stole papers from why they didn't turn in their work, which is how he got caught. Talk about stupid. He also got caught buying a paper from an online site. He's made a lot of sexist and inappropriate comments about women. Controversy has followed him everywhere. He should have never won the Heisman given his background, that's when the award really took a turn and it quit abiding by it's integrity standards.

The problem is that the cheese sauce in the mac-and-cheese, combined with the cold shredded Wisconsin cheddar, is a bit TOO much cheese, and drowns out the chili flavor to a pretty significant degree.

Can't have that delicious Greek spice mix getting shown up.
