I could see Murphy going to Auburn and starting for one year, which would seem fine for Deuce, but Arnold probably needs two to develop, right? (I know he'd be draft eligible after next season but he did not exactly kill it this year). As for the Stanford guy, I see he threw for 74 yards against us. I'm sure he'd be awesome in the SEC.

I really don't understand it. I guess I'm a more conservative person by nature, but there's no way I'm letting my kid leave Stanford to go to a farm school in Ala-fucking-bama because he wants to play football.
its common for stanford guys who have their degrees to want to use their GS year to play at a "football school". Playing @ Stanford in front of 5K fans is no fun after a while

Obviously don't know the details of Deuce's NIL deal, but if he's getting upfront money, what does he care? I'm sure these kids are competitors and want to play, but many of them are just following the easiest money. What's easier than collecting a big check and sitting on the bench?

These NIL deals for high school players will surely have an impact on the portal market as well. The agents represent multiple kids, and when they don't, they still talk in order to pump up the numbers. How do you manage the moving goalposts of NIL guarantees for high school players and portal transfers? Mind boggling.

Also it’s called “John’s Famous Stew” but it’s a legit spot in downtown Indy.

An Indy institution. Been around for over 50 years IIRC. Never seen it served like that, but I haven’t been there in ages.

I rarely post so my opinion matters little but these recruiting threads that devolve into food discussions are stupid and spoil the board.

IMO, one of the beautiful things about this board is the recruiting history. This board was sort of a living document on recruits. If you wanted to lookup a past recruit there would be a thread here where you could track their journey and find info that you hadn't known or had forgotten.

The endless pages of food non-sequiturs on recruits simply ruin the board experience and it's robs if of the real time documentation that had been recorded.

If someone in 8 years wants to re-track Dante Moore god help them because that entire thread is pages upon pages of uselessness drek that NOBODY will want to wade through in search for information.

My 2 cents. Do what you want. But its freaking childish.

Bro, they only turn into food threads when the recruitment is over. Once you start seeing food posts, you can stop.

This thread is up there with the Tommy Rees thread in terms of raising the question “why does it keep lingering around?”

It’s similar to spam and makes the threads unreadable. It’s a turn off for many people wanting ND related discussion which leads them to go to other sites. Hence you have a less diverse set of posters talking about their corn dog recipes.
