Belen is not your typical feeder school that some of the other public schools in Miami are/can be. Palmetto, Norland, Central, Booker T., and Northwestern are the traditional powers, and that doesn't take into account Broward schools such as St. Thomas Aquinas, American Heritage, and Chaminade Madonna (the latter of which currently has five players ranked in the Rivals 100 for this class). Dixon most likely gets more reps against better competition during practice at Palmetto than he will all season in games playing at Belen.

All that being said, Mario Cristobal is an absolute beast on the trail and it looks like the Canes are significantly improved this year. Miami won't give up until Dixon signs his NLI, so this is a guy we're going to have to fight to keep in the class.
