It’s upper right corner for us fans. Hope that helps.
I would think us fans would want him to stay another year, and that would be upper right corner. But then again, i was told i'm lower left, so maybe we just flipped and lower left is good. -1,000,000 i would assume means a lock to go pro and not good for fans.

Selfishly, I'd love for him to come back for another season. But I'm rooting for him in life, not just as a ND player. It's time for him to strike while the iron is hot and go get paid. He won't be back next season, and we'll be fine at safety.

No information, I love Brauntae’s game, but I don’t know if he has played enough college football to be a successful pro right now. I could be dead wrong, and I am sure he will get drafted, just not sure it’s best for him. How many starts does he have against college offenses?

Athleticism like his doesn't grow on trees. He's way ahead of curve considering how few games he's started. I've seen several mock drafts that have him going in the 1st round.

EDIT: The first 3 mocks I just pulled up have him going 12, 19, and 24. He's gone fellas.

Yeah. If that even remotely stays the same he’s got to go.

If we have as many first round picks as we fans think we have, we’ll win the championship this year. I hope it all comes true.
When Brauntae committted, I told my friend who’s a UT fan and recruiting junkie that BJ is gonna be a 1st round pick. He straight up laughed at me. Fans think and say crazy ass shit all the time- it doesn’t matter. What matters is that some NFL team is actually gonna make it happen.

1st round picks on this defense…

1. Moore
2. Brauntae
3. KVA
4. Traore
5. Bryce
6. Dunham
7. JOB

Book it.
Brauntae is without a doubt a 1st round talent, but without some serious production in the miami game or dominating in the playoffs where he is helping lock up the the best passing offenses and making splash plays over Toney or Can Coleman for pick 6's, he won't be a 1st round pick this year, imo.

The safety position isn't highly valued. He's had one season of production. Kyle Hamilton had 2.5 and was picked 14th.

If he didn’t play another down for ND, he’d probably go 2nd-3rd round. But he’s gonna play again this year. And when he plays, he makes plays. So he’s going 1st round. I’d bet on it right now if I could find the odds somewhere.

Not saying this is Tae, necessarily, but the list of Notre Dame players who were first round picks in October and second-to-third day picks in April is… lengthy.

Our guys tend to be known quantities for mock draft artists. Then the NFL dudes get involved and find some diamond in the rough from Northern Iowa or whatever.

I think if he returns when expected, so around BYU, he'll have plenty of opportunities to show off his NFL ceiling.

If he excels as expected, I imagine he'll have played himself into a high draft spot.

They're definitely NFL players but Traore and Bryce aren't 1st round talents IMO. Keep in mind Tuitt was a 2nd round pick and neither of those two were as good as Tuitt or shown have shown as much on the field.

Next you’re going to tell us JOB hasn’t shown you enough to declare him a 1st rounder.

First off, we all know that being a first- round talent does not always correlate to actual draft position. Position, injuries, random factors etc are in part. That said:

Tuitt had a broken foot requiring surgery going into the draft process. That is notable for a 300+ pounder, and he still went day two.

Also, ND biased folks aren’t the only ones, noting Traore as having potential to move into the first round. And BY night literally break someone in half this season.

Those two may end up being second round guys, but ruling them out of the 1st is silly, especially at this point of the year.

Wayne is my burner account haha. And the rest of you out there who agree with Golden have generational ND fan PTSD. Time to get over it. It’s a new day out here so just enjoy it and quit raining on the parade with your little Debby downer asses.

Shame on you Golden… You’re gonna eat shit soon talking down on ND 1st round talents. I’ll bet you right now- get at me and put some money up or just be gone like the rest of your kind. I’ll wait…

This is insane to me given how little football he's actually played. I mean, we know how good he is. I'm just surprised it caught on that quickly.

Similarly, a NFL scout told ISD if Jagusah plays 100 snaps this year he’ll get drafted early.

Sometimes talent is so apparent, NFL teams take a chance.

Over the last 10 years on average about 4 safeties are taken in the NFL draft during the first TWO rounds of the draft. Over 60% of them go in the 2nd round. First round safeties (most not all) are typically generational talents with a ton of college film, stats, experience etc. Think of Starks, Downs, Hamilton, Thieneman, etc.

He's super talented but he has really only shown clear ability to play center field. He needs to show more tackling, man coverage, work near the LOS, etc to have a shot at the first round. Plus he has an injury history.

IMO he can go mid 2nd round if he comes back this year and puts out good tape. But he would have a shot to go first round if he played a full relatively healthy year next year. He probably goes if he comes back, does well, and gets a 2nd round grade though. He has a kid while in college. Not easy.

Crazier things have happened and if he blows up at the combine he could end up in the 1st, but I see him closer to a Foskey level talent (which is very respectable I liked Foskey a lot).

The NFL values potential far more than they do production while in college.

That's not true regarding drafting Safeties in the first round. They want as close as it gets to a sure thing (with high potential). That's why so few go in the first round. They aren't drafting a combine warrior safety in the first that doesn't have a ton of great college film, against top teams, to back it up. Brauntae has started 9 games in college with 2 injuries. He's not going first round unless he absolutely lights it up at the end of this year ( i hope he does). But I do think he goes 2nd round as long as he comes back, and declares.
