I’m guessing he’s a guard?

You'd think. Rudolph has a history of McGlinchey like OT's at Wiscy but for historical perspective, Knapp's about the same size as Robert Hainsey was during his Jr year at IMG.

Most importantly, Rudolph likes him. He was the first P5 coach to offer him last Oct and Knapp visited VT in Jan.

I’m friends with a former Roswell HS LT, I’ll have to ask him what he thinks of Knapp. Roswell is a HS that checks a lot boxes: high academic, good football competition, and in one of the most Catholic areas of Georgia

Not an evaluator of oline film, but I'd be interested in other opinions. This kid seems like he has plenty of nasty in him. Takes pleasure in planting defenders.

Otherwise, it's a little concerning he's playing in Atlanta and none of the big sec schools have offered. Is size an issue?

Thought this would be a smaller 3-4 man oline class, with a focus on 2 tackles after Peter Jones.... Knapp doesn't look like the next Alt, Eichenberg, Stanley, or McGlinchey to me. Of course, i believed Sullivan Absher was 6'7 until he showed up to the all star game and shrank 3 inches.

And we have Wagner who needs to gain a ton of weight as well. I have high hopes for Wagner but not sure or I don’t clearly see who could be the next stud tackle starters on our roster ( other than two already starting there)

All our studs, you saw “IT” by their soph year.

Here's 3 guys Rudolph signed that were Knapp's size or smaller as Jr's:

Pro Bowler - 4th Rd pick - Rimington winner - 3x All American - 3x All-B1G - 4x Academic All-B1G

3rd Rd pick - 2x All-B1G - 4x Academic All-B1G

All-B1G HM as RS Soph - 2x All Academic B1G

I was concerned by the size until I watched the film. Seems really technically sound. Maybe he is a Peter Skoronski/Zach Martin type.

Assuming he chooses ND, do we think that means they're looking to take 4 (or even 5) OL or that he's taking someone's spot?

Too many pancakes on the gamefilm for Prister's liking. It's his pet peeve isnt it? He wants OL hitting multiple defenders on a play rather than trying to teabag some 100 lbs HS player

Rudolph has been recruiting him since he was at VT. They have a great relationship.

The guys on IB said that the O linemen were going to be a bit smaller this year. I don't know if it's a one year thing or Going forward.
