Smoked oysters u say? How does that work?

Shuck em, leave them in the cup (the deep half of the shell and don't spill the brine), put whatever you want for seasoning on (or not) and smoke for about an hour at 200.

I’ll be honest, I just can’t do oysters.

You don't have to eat them raw on the half shell, if that's not your thing. There are about a million recipes for roasted oysters with all kind of shit on them that are great.

I have to try to smoke some oysters. A good friend of mine grows them in the great South Bay and wholesales them. I can get them right off the boat fresh.
