Never understood the silent commitment thing. Kind of like telling a girl you are committing to take her to the prom but then tell her you arent going to and dont want her to let anyone else know about it.

If you feel you need to date others, date others and let her know. In this case, just dont say anything to anyone and keep on keeping on.

Unless you are planning an announcement in two weeks to announce it and do not want it to get out sooner. If so, then state announcement in two weeks.
