Can't wait to see his film from this camp. It's loaded with ND ready prospects on both side.

Armitage is Canadian playing at Blair Academy. Blair produced David Ojabo last year (Mich) and Jayson Oweh the year before (PSU). ND took a hard swing at both. Third time a charm?

Great film. Grown azz man as a Soph. Offer list is already there so ND has some ground to make up but very doable if he's wanting the ND route over the Factory route. Duke/Vandy/UVa says he's probably a good target.

Was told by ND they didn't have a scholarship for him - Per ISD. Also said ND would've been way out front had they offered. I hope they told him before he and his family came.

Right now 15 scholarship DLineman projected to have eligibility in 2021. I was hoping for a 4 man class and then some natural attrition of the next two years. Was hoping for...

At that point, Kofi Wardlow and Ovie Oghuofo might be graduated. MTA likely will be too along with Kurt Hinish. If those 4 and a younger guy not getting PT, I could see 4 commits + 15 returners turning into 16 guys come August 2021. Too bad

no scholarship for him...yet? any idea what the DL numbers will be for '21? rubio is on board, rooks seems highly possible, but they're both interior guys. who's keeping armitage out? najee story? cooper jones hasn't been offered yet. this is a puzzling post.

It’s more about spots available at DT. And, I don’t think this is final. I believe there was some language that there will be a chance of an offer in December. They have a lot of eligibility at DT and taking just one in 21’, is a possibility. Rubio already filling that.

Yea great points. I think definitely a chance Armitage could swing inside during his career which would definitely give the staff pause. There are tons and tons of DT’s on the roster at ND. I’m sure if he were that talented and interested as a Shark End then they’d offer him but those DT’s and big SDE’s that might grow into DT’s are limited in their space in 2021. I hope they end up with a bomb class at DLine regardless of who they get.

From what I gather they are really shooting for athletic pass rushers (Shark) in 21. Singer has been touting this for awhile. One guy getting a lot of buzz and will probably get offered is Keanu Koht. Brian Smith says that ND really like shim but does not know if they can make any head way.

The article I read said ND is waiting to see how the current offers shake out and if anyone decommits. Felt like he is in that next tier of offers but they love his film. I was happy to hear ND was very honest where he stood and he even said it hasn't caused him to lose interest.

As stated previously there was some hesitation to offer as we may end up taking only 1 DT in this class and that'd be Rubio. However, I'm more optimistic than most in that I think he could play SDE as well as. I also don't think that every player needs to add significant amounts of weight from HS through their respective collegiate careers. It might be in his best interest to focus on streamlining his body. A recent and familiar example of this is what the Chargers have done with Isaac Rochell. A fairly similar prospect, IMO.

He reminds me of Kareem on film. He seems less athletic right now though but once Balis get a hold of him he will improve.

I think it is a few factors:

Seems ND has had DL recruiting wrapped up early over the last couple of cycles.
If you also look at what Lucky posted previously, this also has a lot to do with it.

Would love to see Najee Story, Aaron Armitage and Gabriel Rubio. That would be a great DLine class. I don’t think George Rooks will make the cut with such limited space on the DLine but we’ll see. I’m rooting for him but there are a ton of DT’s in the program and Armitage can grow into one potentially. Might need a Shark End in the class but I’m not too sure of that.

Aaron Armitage’s top 12 released and its definitely geared towards academics. Stanford, Duke, Cal, Notre Dame, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Florida, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Penn State, and LSU. That’s one of the better lists of top academic schools in the top 8 of this 12 out of pretty much anybody. I hope ND can win this one cause he seems like a great fit for ND.
