Yep. And Preston and Athan and Liam and Deuce.

As of now, a lot of top QB's that are good demographic fits for ND.

Ronnie has the same problem Graham Mertz had. As of now, he's stuck behind a committed ND baseball player, Ryan Lynch who's just a Jr.

Doesn't have RP3's pedigree & doesn't have Buchner's physical talent but getting a kid named McCarthy from a top tier Chicago Catholic program just feels right.

Didn't see this until this morning, Loy CB'd him to ND on Friday.

Long way to go... and we'll have a long time to debate the '21 Class QB as it will be the QB focus as soon as the '19 guy commits.

Feel good about the crop of QBs they are interested in though. Gotta start early. He didn't have a bad camp either.

Absolutely have to start early, something BK's staffs have had a hard time adjusting too (and still trail the best in the business)

That's been a problem for BK because his experience as a recruiter at his previous posts was making the best out of what's left after the P5's picked over the talent pool, not identifying the future top talent to get in first before the Top 10 programs plant that flag.

Gonna have to agree to disagree on this.. They are 5A and i can name about 25 teams I would put in front of them any day of the week.

Maxpreps could find only 12 in the whole state.

Nazareth is BOOM 7v7 Central. Loaded with talent and with a QB like McCarthy, they'll only draw more.

If you want to put Loyola in the top tier by themselves with Marist and Phillips in the next tier down with Nazareth another tier lower, ok then but that's just breaking down the Top 15 into tiers.

I just watched the first four minutes, or so, of his eight grade tape (can't believe I just typed that).
Good accuracy and I think good arm strength, but he didn't have to go to a second read once. There must be a pretty good coach there scheming his guys open or his receivers are really good at getting separation.
Curious to see where his development leads.

You’re a little uneducated on Naz, so I’ll help you out. Naz is typically a 5a school. They won 6a in 2014 and 5a in 2015. Because of this they were one of 3 teams in the state that were “success factored” up to 6a last season. Naz lost to Prairie Ridge on the last play of the game. Because they played in two 6a title games they were “success factored” up again this year. In 2018 Naz will be in 7a but after being ranked #6 by Edgy Tim and #7 by the Sun Times there is plenty of reason to think they’ll be competitive. Not sure what calendar you look at but I’d throw it out, your days of the week are screwed up.

I linked his JV film earlier in this thread. Naz plays Missouri power Lutheran North Friday and #7 Lake Zurich the following week. If JJ performs well early expect an ND offer to come.

This shows the ceiling of this kid. Rolls left with two guys all over him and somehow uncorks a 50 yarder against his body. That's VERY impressive. If it's not for 3* Minnesota commit D'Vion Harris
being draped all over him, that's 6. CB made a nice recovery too on the ball which was understandably a bit under thrown.

12-17 for 276 yards and 4 TD’s in 42-7 blowout victory over #8 in 5a Marian Central Catholic. JJ didn’t play second half. Get that offer sheet ready, also probably time to take a look at 2022 sensation Tyler Morris. Tyler added another touchdown reception today from JJ.

He better get offered this weekend.

On Friday night he was 17-25 for 416 yds and 5 TD's + 1 TD rushing. He got pulled after the fist series in the 3rd when Nazereth Academy put a running clock on undefeated Benet Academy, a perennial Top 25 program.

If this keeps up, he could end up a Top 5 QB and a 5 star.

Tyler Buchner is in town for the second time as well and he already has an offer. I imagine they want to see how things are with him before they offer anyone else who might commit before Buchner is ready to decide. That said, I wouldn't be upset if McCarthy got an offer but Buchner seems like he's at the top of the '21 QB board.
