Isn't Driskell the one saying we were flipping someone on signing day? Assume that's what it's for

Driskell said that they were likely going to flip a guy by Wednesday, and that guy was the kicker. He confirmed that's who he was referencing when it happened.

That’s a crap move. I see happy flipping tweets and expect Jadaveon Clowney or Joe Montana not Ray Finkle
He’s the worst. Every time I try to listen to any of their content I immediately regret it. They all kiss his ass which just makes it so pathetic. It’s weird.

I'm sure it's already been talked about (to death maybe) but on the II pod today, they were all grinning like Cheshire cats about the transfers we're apparently in serious negotiations with.

At least one SEC dude of whom we'd know their name on the list for DT

Sounded to me like potentially more than one notable name from the SEC, but that could just be my hopeful ears

Don’t worry, when we sign a pair of stud transfer DTs folks on here will get pissed it’s not Aaron Donald or Haloti Ngata.

There are already some big names in the portal, but not names we would all know unless you follow CFB very closely. So there must be some behind the scenes (not in portal) chatter.

Well Oatis and Dindy are the top DTs in the portal thus far and i'll be the first to tell you neither of those guys are coming to ND lol.

Oh please! I remember how our early #1 ranked classes have turned out
I don't remember us being at 200 with our first 9 commits with an average rating of 94.82.
But you are right it is early. They are probably one of the biggest NIL schools and when you just finish from that pond, higher bidders will come along and kids will dip.

He has not visited correct?

His brother plays at Wisconsin. Transferred from UC after originally signing there.

Quincy Burroughs was brought to UC by Brown, and followed Brown to Wisconsin. The Brown relationship runs pretty deep.

But to answer your first question, Naeem hasn't visited ND before. He also hasn't visited Clemson or Texas.

Had a sneaking suspicion there was something here.

For the people wondering about what ND can do to improve their recruiting despite not going all-in to buy top-tier HS recruits like OSU, Oregon, and the SEC schools, they'll need to win at least 2 CFP games. Recruits won't be impressed with only a win over a program like Indiana (no offense to them). ND will have to beat UGA as well. I'd love to be wrong, but that probably won't give ND more top 50-100 recruits, given that they want money and ND isn't really into that. But a win over UGA would probably get them a few more kids in the 150-300 range. Michigan was around 50% in their blue-chip percentage before they beat Bama and won the Natty, and now they're at 65%.

Mike and Christian did a 2026 RB talk this morning.

The names to know that ND is focusing on are DeZephen Walker, Jonaz Walton and Javian Osborne. A few others but these are the bigger names.
