Anything less than a 4 TD victory would be a disappointment. They are completely outmatched at every position, particularly along the lines.

Cards get spanked like Jake by The Vulture on Brooklyn 99.

I agree w/ Tim, Pete & Tim from their Monday podcast: absolute worst case scenario where everything goes wrong for ND is they still should win by 17.

This is one of a handful of games where the back ups should get quality game reps. No excuse for Book taking unnecessary hits late in this game.

42-14 ND

Will be 35-7 at Halftime and all ND nation will be talking about the Playoffs

After they only get one TD in the second half fans will be talking about firing Brian Kelly and how ND needs to recruit more criminals in skilled positions.

FEI projects our offense and defense to be the 11th and 20th best in the nation respectively. Louisville's units are projected as the 81st and the 110th(!) respectively.

If that's accurate, they might not stop us a single time, even after Phil comes in.

Their defense can’t be as bad as 2018. That was a team that straight up quit because their coaches quit on them.

No italics?

I thought you liked the boys this year...this would be a d-day scenario.

I'm trying to pull back. The more excited I get about the team, the poorer their performance. I figure if I reverse course and be super negative to start the season we might win the National Championship. I have a similar curse when it comes to the Cavs, any game of theirs I watch they lose. I swore off watching any games after they dropped to 1-3 in the 2016 Finals and...well...we know what happened next. Subsequently I watched all the Finals games the following season except their lone win in Game 4.

If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite must be right...

Seriously:

51 - 13

First off, the D does not score.

But up 37-10 BK puts 5*Phil in and the first play, PJ checks out of a lame run up the middle and hits Wilkins for a 65 yd TD. Kelly smiles and gives him an ear full. Next series he checks out of another boring clock eater and hits Lenzy for an 80 yd TD.

Kelly says "Ah hell" in his post game interview with Katheryn Tapthis, announcing he's making the... switch and the 5*Phil era starts by him dropping a 70Burger over the soon to be unemployed Boob Davies.

FEI predicts an 18 point Irish victory, with a 79% chance of at least winning outright.

38-14

Cards starters get one early score before D settles in and one late score against our 2nd & 3rd stringers.

If our defense can really hold that line and our offense can be just slightly better than the projection, we could very well be in for another run to the playoffs.

I've listened to all of our beat writers and most are projecting us with a 9-3 floor and a 10-2 ceiling with a few stepping out and saying 11-1.

Would love to see another undefeated season.

I've never seen such a collective thought on an ND score prediction.

Seems like everyone's a FG away from 46-15, one way or the other. That's here, an other site and Twitter.

All except the Oracle from El Paso that is.

I voted 20-26 point win, but am rethinking that now. My prediction 45 - 10, maybe 45 - 17 if UL adds a late TD against backups.

Claypool has a BIG day.

I was expecting a season win line of 10 when I was in Vegas last week, I got 9. I could understand 9.5 but 9 seems like a sell a kidney level steal.

Unrelated - UVA had a 7 win line, like free money.

My "bold" take: I think Finke actually finishes with more yards than Claypool. With the Young and Kmet injuries, I could see them blanketing Claypool as the primary option.

The Slippery Fox will have a big game too.

I kind of feel like it won't matter if they double him. He'll still go up and get the ball. Do they even have any DB's close to his size? It's almost not fair and then you add in his athleticism. Man, the season CANNOT start soon enough!

It was good to see Daelin Hayes get a mention from coach Kelly. He has totally flown under the radar and I predict he has a big game against Loiusville. Its a bit of a shame we cant get him into the middle line backer position.
