Jamir Jones at WDE?

That's where I think he's ultimately best suited, but he shouldn't be there, since he is definitely going to be trying for the LB spot in the Spring--and because his class has good DEs already.

Fixed.

I would like to see:

- one of Elliot or Robertson to offense
- Tommy Tremble to DE

Looks like this is where Spring will start off, but I'm very interested how we get down to 85 by the start of the 2018 season. I know it always happens, but it seems like a lot of the attrition happened early this year, so I'm not sure what to expect. Hopefully it will be kids looking for a fresh start based on the depth chart, and not injuries or anything more interesting!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see David Adams take a medical based on the issues he’s had with his shoulder. We had a defensive player a few years back (maybe Collinsworth?) who had multiple shoulder injuries but kept returning. Every time he went to make a tackle it seemed like a 50/50 proposition that his shoulder was going to pop out of socket. I remember thinking at the time it was a bad look to keep running him out there when everyone knew the kid’s body couldn’t withstand those types of hits anymore.

If they move Jamir to WDE, I want to see him get a redshirt year. I doubt it happens though

He was supposed to take a medical and then the sites all announced he was coming back. He might not have gotten injured his senior year, but the only thing I remember from him in 2015 was the non-tackle against BC

I think you mean against Temple on 4th and goal.

87. Took off Nick Watkins. Sucks for us, but probably smart for him if he wants to maximize his opportunity.

Losing Hayes and Watkins is not the right way to get to 85.

Definitely isn't who you want to lose, but with 18 scholly DB's, something's gotta give and when it comes to depth at corner...

RS JR Shaun Crawford
JR Donte Vaughn
JR Troy Pride Jr.
JR Julian Love

We have 4 upperclassmen who need to be ready and a 5th string freshman is not the worst thing to happen to ND. They've had far worse situations. Does put pressure on a guy like Donte Vaughn to realize his potential.

I'm looking at our roster and who else would you rather leave tho? We gotta get to 85 somehow, I think weisher or canteen make the most since

I agree it sucks, but I don't see a painless way for us to make 85. Even losing those 2, I don't see a bunch of "fat" on the roster that could have been trimmed to offset.

Are we sure that Watkins was pushed out? I figured this was him getting scared of being the 4th corner and proactively transferring into a starting role.

David Adams' shoulder could disqualify him at any moment. Haven't seen or heard much about Drew White. Donte Vaughn has not performed up to expectations in games (hasn't really even played). Devin Studstill needs to make a move or he's going to get passed up. There are plenty of guys I can think of that ND would probably rather lose than two starting-caliber players on their DLine and in their secondary

Easy. Canteen is a complete waste of a scholarship. Zero f’ing reason he’s on scholarship. Adams, White, Weishar, and Fertitta.

Yeah I mentioned Canteen in another thread dude won't see the field at all this year why keep him around? We have a ton of guys who are coming in and guys who are in their second years making some noise this spring Davis being one of them

Canteen will be gone unless a lot of transfers happen. Weishar too.

There will be transfers though, there always are.

Why was Canteen wearing a red jersey in the B&G Game? Is he still hurt?
