I said ND by 5-9 because I have no clue. Are we as potent on offense as we hope? If so, we should win bigger. Can our defense make another leap up? If so, we should win bigger.

Is koon correct that Georgia is filled with all world talent and we're fielding a girl's field hockey team? If so, I can see them winning by 2+ scores. Are we really drastically unprepared for da es-ee-cee?

Can we have some WRs breakout this game? Can our OL show why they have 3-4 OL who should be selected in the next draft? If so, they should push these MF'ers back as the game continues. Can we string together long drives and keep their defense on the field?

I think UGA's defense contains us. Our defense struggles to stop their run game and we get little pressure on Fromm. I think Yoon will blow a couple more FGs and we turn the ball over late with a chance to tie or go ahead.

Georgia 30
ND 24

Koon, quit posting under other peoples username.

I think this will be a close game 1-3 points with the Irish getting the win via HF advantage.

I really think most people on here are really missing what Wimbush brings to the table

I'm really hoping we're capable of scoring when it takes more plays to get to the end zone.

Number of plays it took to score on Temple:

2, 7, 3, 8, 8, 6, 3

I think it stays close the entire game until Georgia gets a garbage time score or two to make the final score more lopsided than the majority of the game.

Yeah this is part of why I think we will turn the ball over more. Our scoring drives will be 8+ plays. Yoon will be important and be did not look good against Temple.

Zero trust in Yoon, so UGA takes this due to kicking woes. Also, zone reads will end in disaster deep in the backfield, but we'll keep forcing square peg in round hole, much like what Koon likes, too soon?

We're pretty even across the board IMO, but we have home-field and the better QB. As long as our Safety play is solid, I think we win. I'm concerned about blown coverages back there, poor angles (like last week on the 2nd Temple TD), and a missed tackle turning into Chubb going 80 yards. We win if there are no big mistakes back there.

I'm not, but this is only his second game and while he was solid against Temple, he needs to improve and I don't think we can afford a dumb INT against UofG.

When's the last time a true freshman QB making his first start went to a top 25 team and won?

When was the last time we beat a top 15 team? Oklahoma? I really don't know.

Sure, but my question is more of a "does this actually ever happen in college football in at all?"

Yours is specific to ND and BK's woes.

ND 31, UGA 24.

ND clings to a 28-24 lead late behind a surprisingly strong run-game that made the UGA front 7 look pedestrian. UGA and Fromm expose our glaring weaknesses at safety, using playaction after establishing things with Chubb.

UGA has the ball with 4 mins left, draining clock with their run game on their way to another demoralizing score. Then, on a 3rd down play, UGA tries play action, and Elliot and Coleman combine for a tip-drill INT.

ND fails to kill the clock, but Yoon hits a long FG with just under a minute left to give ND the 7-point lead.

Fromm then takes two-straight sacks to end the game after hitting a pass down the middle that makes us all VERY worried.

Well the sample size is probably very small. So even if there are very few success stories it doesn't really tell me anything.

IF Elko saved some different looks on defense rather than that vanilla defense we saw against Temple, disguising blitzes, making Fromm have to think a little instead of just sit there and make easy reads and throws; Then we have a chance to win by 14 I think.

I really do think that ND can control the line of scrimmage and chip away down the field. Georgia hasn't done well against mobile QB's in the past (example: Ole miss last year), And Wimbush can help us out on third downs enough that i think we can extend drives.

All comes down to our linebackers. Last week they missed way too many tackles, and if they do the same this week, we are in trouble.

Prediction ND 35 Georgia 17

Notre Dame wins 28 - 17 and it is never really in doubt.

With the same backs last year and a true freshman QB UGA's mighty offense could never muster more than 35. Now with another true freshman who only knows some of his playbook and had first team reps for slightly more practices than me, it's hard for me to get too worked about what he can do on the road at night.

Their defense will be stout but I think we get some short fields and wear them out. Yoon is a non factor, but Newsome plays bigly.

Uga wept.

On to Boston College.

My guess....

Early on, our O struggles trying to pound the rock and too many short yardage TE targets. Our D struggles stopping the run, pretty much selling out to focus on thunder and lightning. Fromm burns us because of it.

Second half, down two scores, Wimbush is asked to win it with his feet and arm. Return of the Mack - takes advantage of the UGA safeties. . Our D bends but comes up with a turnover or two. DH gets home, and Tillery finally makes a statement.

ND, 34-31

Our strengths are going against their strengths (our OL vs their DL and LBs), and weaknesses (our DL vs their OL, our DBs vs their WRs) against weaknesses. I just hope their RBs can be slowed without selling out too much.

ND comes out blazing and gets Ga on their heels. By mid second quarter the Dogs settle in and fight back to score late in the half and tie the Irish 14-14. The second half starts with an errant pass by BW and Ga takes the lead 21-14. ND rallies and scores on an Adams run of 15 yards. The extra point is blocked and the Irish trail 21-20 mid fourth quarter. After a huge stop of Chubb on third and one, the Irish get the ball back at their own 15 with less than three min to go. BW shows his metal and runs for a crucial third down conversion and passes for another. After a couple of costly timeouts by ND, Adams catches a screen pass from BW and breaks a couple of tackles to the Ga 30 yard line with four seconds left. Yoon comes in and drills a 47 yarder off the left post as time expires.

ND 23-21
