Suppose you were never taught the whole "If you have nothing nice to say..." adage.
Sorry... Thought this was America.
Prolly drives a Prius
Base price over $50k!!!
Truck prices are getting out of hand.
I'll probably buy one in a couple years.
I think base is around 60. The dealer said the typical package they sell will be around 69. Already have a ton of pre-orders without even knowing the actual price....
Car and Driver has them trying to keep it between $50k-$53k. Not sure if they're wrong or what, that's just what the Google machine says.
$69k is too much too.
What's so special about this particular truck?? (honest, curious question)
I would never have any practical use for a truck of this magnitude, but would buy in a second if the monies were there. I would honestly rather have a kickass truck than a Ferrari.

I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT! I want one lol. That (50-53) might be for the standard or king cab option. I'm wanting the crew cab, so we might be talking apples/oranges. Any of the upper crew cab 4x4 options (plat, limited, king ranch, etc). are 60s. I'd likely upsize the tires a bit (not sure yet what they will come with, but doubt it's 35s) lights, wheels, and add automatic step.
Drives like 4x4 Ferrari IMHO. Incredible power/speed, crazy suspension, etc.. The new model coming out has the eco boost, upgraded suspension, aluminum body, and great improvement in MPG. And it simply looks badass.
And what, pray tell, does this afford the consumer? Surely there is some actual benefit outside of 'bragging rights'?
I harbor no resentment to people who get geeked out about cars, it's just a phenomenon that's never resonated with me.
Driving around fast on the dunes, tearing through two tracks and plowing through snow. Man stuff.

Is the aluminum body a good or bad thing? It seems like its be nice being able to reduce the weight so much and id assume it holds up pretty well with normal wear and tear but i havent driven one. I know some people who dont have too much confidence in the aluminum bodies
Stock 35's homie! BFG T/A K02 specifically designed for the new Raptor, to be precise.
Really excited to see the final numbers on this truck in terms of HP, torque, and MPG. Ford is changing the game right now with aluminum and a twin turbo 3.5 Ecoboost engine.
So. Excited.
3.5.... Weak sauce..... Give me a super charged 5.7 or bigger any day... Who really gives a shit about mpg when buying a $70,000 performance truck....
In the great words of vin diesel..... "There's no replacement for displacement"
