A couple things I've noticed from the first two games offensively:
1) God that slow developing outside screen to anybody who isn't named CJ Sanders sucks. Even sometimes with CJ it doesn't develop, but EQ should not be receiving those IMO.
2) Does anybody get worried about Kizer staring down receivers? That's probably the biggest knock on him I've seen so far
3) Going back to CJ Sanders: Everybody talks about EQ being a potential first round WR, and I think he has the same likelihood of Sanders. He's an absolute stud and is a legitimate threat to take it to the house whenever the ball is in his hands.
4) Kizer's incredible pocket presence is making up for a lot of the deficiencies we are having from the right side of the line (particularly McGovern) in pass pro. That's probably his best asset IMO
5) There's a lot of talk about Folston losing reps to Dexter Williams, and while I get that Williams is special, I think Folston should definitely remain where he's at in the depth chart. Williams is better on the stretch plays, but our line hasn't really been excelling in blocking outside runs. I'd prefer Folston in there since he's the best back on the roster for the more patient inside runs to let things develop. While Adams is obviously RB1, I think that he's a guy who really benefits from the wide open lanes our line can produce. If the hole closes up, I like Folston's chances more than anybody to make something out of the play.
6) Love love love how much time we gave the backups. I'd love to see this in as many games as we can. While it may not pad the stats of guys like Kizer to get national awards, winning games will get the team noticed for NFL purposes. With how much we get injured, getting the backups in there is crucial, and even that second unit of offense out there is probably better than over 60% of Division 1 teams.
